Plan

I am planning on capturing images of people that I feel represent perfection and then adjusting the images to make them less perfect by blurring them through different techniques, manuallythis is interpreting work from Jesse Draxler. I will print the images that I have taken off and then over lay them with different things in the way that she edits her images, I will also attempt to create similar techniques and edits using photoshop as well. In a similar theme to Jesse Draxler’s work, The images that i will take will be simple however i will get the model to look different ways and different angles so that when it comes to editing the images i can edit them in various different ways. I will be using artificial lighting for these photos as i will need a plain background which is available indoors.I will be taking a series of photos, however not a large amount as they will all be similar however when it comes to editing they will be different.

Evaluation

Overall, I felt that i could have taken a few more images for this photoshoot, possibly in different environments with different backgrounds. However i was able to produce what i wanted with the photos that i produced. I edited various images on photoshop, however didnt complete any manual edits, this is because i felt that i could do much more using photoshop and would have more control over the edits that i was producing. If i was to take the images again, then i would maybe try and find better lighting and maybe also have more than one model that i was editing to give it more variety. There was limited variety with the base images that i took and more with the actual edits that i produced. I would also possibly look at some more techniques in which i could edit these images .

Plan

For my next photoshoot, i am planning on interpreting Aaron Siskinds work, I will be walking around looking at various different textures and surfaces in which i feel represent Aaron siskinds work. When it comes to editing the images, I will edit them In black and white in the same style of Aaron Siskinds making the tectures more prominant. I will be using natural lighting as the images will be taken outside. I will be walking in a radius of around a mile in order to try and get a range of different images. I will be looking for man made imperfections as well as natural ones, such as rust or discolouration . I will also be looking at different lines as this is something else that Aaron siskinds looks at in his work. Trying to take a range of different style of images which link back to various pieced of Aaron siskinds work. The natural lighting will be from the sun. The backdrops of the images will be the natural environment as the images are taken outside of different objects. I used various different camera angles however focused on straight on , like Aaron Siskinds work.

Evaluation

These are the contact sheets from the images that i took when looking into Aaron siskinds work. Overall, i feel as they went quite well, i walked around my local area looking dor different things which i felt represented his work well. They represent flaws through the corrosion and destruction whether man made or natural. When it came to editing the images, i felt that i have quite a few good images which really represented Aaron siskinds work, editing them in black and white enhancing the whites and darkening the blacks. If i was to do this photoshoot again then i would maybe branch out to different areas and different environments to see if i could find anything different types of surfaces. This could be a reshoot or furthur developments of this interpretation.

Plan

The main aim of this photoshoot is a reshoot of Aaron Siskind’s interpretation. The image will also be taken outside in natural lighting using the sun as the main source of lighting. I will be focusing on corrosion for this photoshoot rather than different surfaces from the Aaron siskinds interpretation. I will not be using any props for these images, they will simply be of objects found out and around my area. I will not necesarily be having a backdrop for this photoshoot as they will be close-up images of different things. The focul point of the images that i take will be the corrosion of different objects, either through rot, rust or paint peeling. It will be things that have been worn out over the years through natural causes.

Evaluation

In the end, i felt that this photoshoot went well, i was able to capture various different things that represented corrosion, showing flaws. As these things would have once been perfect however over time they have become a flaw. I feel as though i could have gone earlier in the day or on a sunnier day as the images are quite dull, however when it came to editing i enhanced the brightness . If i was to do a reshoot for this image then i would make sure that iexplored different areas and surfaces to broaden my photograph content, however i feel as though the images that i did produced showed what i wanted to show well.

Plan

The plan for this photoshoot is to look at the work of Stephen Gill and use him as inspiration for this photoshoot. I will be using natural lighting hopefully on a sunny day so that the images are fresh and bright. The images will be captured outside with a natural background to represent the props that i will be using in my images which will be flowers. I will also be having some image that have more simple backgrounds so that i can go in and edit them later with natural flowers over the top of them. I will be using various different camera angles and also different closeups. I will be using the flowers , something considered perfect to distor the face of my model through covering it. When i go into edit the images with the flowers overlays they will distort the images furthur through covering different parts of her face and body with natural objects. The focal point of the images will be the flowers in each photo.

Evaluation

Overall, i feel as though this photoshoot went well, i felt that i was able to capture a range of different images which represented the same style of work the Stepgen Gill produced. I have taken some images with the flowers covering the models face within the image, then some scans with the flowers over the top of the image creating a different style. The scan’s which i planned to produced at the start of this photoshoot i planned to scan various different natural objects over the top of the images however scanning appeared difficult because the image behind was blurry. I managed to get some images which were okay, although i decided to also simply take image of the flowers over the top.

Evaluation

The plan for this photoshoot is to ex-Overall, I felt that this photoplore furthur into people and falws. Ishoot went well, i was able to capam planning on producing a series of im-ture many different images with ages of a models face pressed up againstthe models face squished against a scanner. Distorting the models facethe scanner in different ways as through the the scanner will be effec-well as capturing movement imagtive as i can do many different things.es through the model moving down A scanner also captures an image as itthe scanner. I felt that the immoves which will be good for furthuringages were effective in black and the photoshoot. I am planning on get-white when editing them and the ting the model to move her face as thedetail from the scanner was good. scanner moved to get a more distortedThese images represent flaws and image as well as showing small move-perfections as the model can be ments within the photoshoot. I will beseen as perfection however the using natural lighting as there is notdifferent techniques that i got much i can do to control a scanner. Themy model to do with the squishbackdrop will be black as the scannering and moving distorted the imwill have to be open and when a scannerages and made them a flaw. is open the backdrop is normally black.

Plan

For this photoshoot, i am planning on doing something similar to the scanning images that i took, however looking at different ways, this time using a window. I will be getting my model to do similar things to the scanning shoot, squishing her face up against the window distorting it in different ways. I feel as though i can create better images with actual photos and the model have more room and space to do different things where as with the scanner we were resrtricted to portrait images and there was only so much my model could do. I will be using natural lighting for this photoshoot as i wont want to use the flash otherwise i will get glare from the window. The only prop that i will be using will be the window that my models face will be squished up against. I am planning on editing these images in different ways taking parts from one photo and then stitiching them ont another one to distort the images furthur.

Evaluation Overall, i feel as though this photoshoot went how i wanted it to go, i was able to get many different shots that i could use, different angles, different distanced away which i couldnt do from the scanning photoshoot. If i was to do this photoshoot again then i would possible open the blinds or shut them so that you cant see them in the reflection, however i felt that this didnt have too much of an impact on the images and some of them you cant really notice and blends well with the images. I was able to complete some manual and digital techniques for these photos, by using parts of one image and then overlaying them over the image to make them more of a flaw with the stitch lines as well as the distorted features. I focused on black and white edits for this photoshoot however captured them in colour so i still had the option. I feel as though i could use different background if i was to do this photoshoot again, maybe using a window which leads to the outside so i could have more natural lighting.Howver overall i am happy with how this photoshoot went and how the end results after editing were.

Plan

For this photoshoot, i am planning on looking at different backgrounds and then distorting the images through blocking out the models face. I will get my models to stand against various different backdrops so that when i come to edit the images i can edit the models face out and then replace it with the background. I feel that this will represent flaws well as the models face will be completely gone. I am also planning on linking these images with some of the images that i took looking at corrosion and rust. This is so i can link parts of my work together and develop my ideas furthur. This is because i have done different styles of photography i wanted to bring them together. The images will be simple as the models face will be cut out in most of the images.I will use natural lighting for this photoshoot as the images will be taken outside, I will try and make sure that the day i take the images is sunny so that the images are crisp and clear. The background’s will be a micture of natural and manmade.

Evaluation

I enjoyed this photoshoot them most, especially the editing process. The backgrounds that i used were simple however effective. Some of them also linked to my other photoshoots already through the different textures. I could have found a few more different backgrounds to use, however i felt that the amount i had allowed me to do what i wanted. I blocked out the models face in the majority of my edits, however also looked at the photos i took previous and then used these to link my work together.I could have used more than one model in some of my images, however at the time this was unavailable to me. The lighting on the day of the photoshoot was good, i was able to capture natural shadows in some of my images and the quality of the photos turned out good.I have also produced a series of manual edits of this photoshoot, looking at ripping and revealing as well as overlaying and also joining photos together. I felt that there was a wide range of different things that i could do to develop my ideas with this photoshoot.
