Methods of Connecting Mac Pro to a Printer


Unable to connect MacBook with the printer? Facing troubles while setting up? Don't worry! There are two methods with the help of which you can establish a connection between Mac pro and device. Choose the mode according to your suitability.


Power On the printer by pressing the Power button. ďƒ˜Depending upon the model, location of power button differs. Refer to user's manual in case if you are not sure. ďƒ˜Make sure the device is connected to power source by plugging cable to wall outlet.


You get two cables while buying the device i.e. power cable and USB cable

At the side of Mac Pro look for square hole and tuck in the USB of printer in this hole.

Printer icon will be displayed on the screen after establishing a connection. If it doesn't, you are required to search and install the driver. (Note: In Mac Pro, you don't have to install software).


Check the Printing Sheet while printing or go through Print & Fax Preferences to find out whether the device is ready to print or not.

Select Add Printer if you are unable to find your device name appearing on Printing Sheet.


You can save space as well as minimize the issues in cable connections while connecting a device with local Wi-Fi.


In order to avoid fraudulency and exploitation with the network, there are certain restrictions imposed without which the safety can be jeopardized. So, ensure that you have cleared access restrictions of Wi-Fi printer like Mac address filtering.

Just check your device is displayed in the pop-up menu. If yes, select it and print. In case, if it doesn't choose Add Printer and you will see Setup Utility. You will find a list of devices. Click Add after selecting your device.
