WELCOME
A Message From the Race Director Dear Runners, Welcome to the 6th running of the Cox Providence Rhode Races. We want to take a moment to reflect on the tragic events of the Boston Marathon and offer our condolences to the victim’s families and our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured victims. Many thanks to the Cities, Towns and Law Enforcement agencies involved in this race for their increased safety measures. Please know we are all working together to make this race as safe as possible and to insure a secure comfort level for all of the runners & spectators. Please be aware that we have implemented a clear bag policy at Gear Check this year. If you’d like to check items, they must be in a plastic bag that we will provide to you. We will not accept any other form of bag and all bags will be subject to search. We would like to thank our Sponsors for their continued support of these races and also our hundreds of volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to make this race enjoyable for the runners. Enjoy the race & good luck!
