SECTIONS DEFINING THE SPACES The design celebrates the natural characteristics of the site and its surrounding, The Bangalore University Campus. The Architecture Concept being ‘why not on the walls and roofs ‘? The experience is visually enthralling and explorative as one traverses the landscape on the natural ground, the raised ground and the walls and roofs, a continuous journey of ‘unification’ of built and landscape. The ground coverage is kept to an extent of 25 % in order to maximise the experience of the natural characteristic of the site.

ACADEMIC I THESIS | CO-LIVING HOUSING THESIS THIRD SPACE PROPOSAL The present report is a thesis concerning the design of an urban co-housing situated at Bellandur, Bengaluru, India. The thesis is a result of an integrated design between engineering and architectural aspects of the building design, focusing on modularity as the main specialization The designing of an urban co-housing is based on different themes, which is handled throughout the integrated process from problem statement, analysis, sketching, synthesis and towards the presentation. The main themes of the project is respectively belongingness, co-living and social sustainability, which is reflected in the final design. Urban Co-Living reflect the aspects of co-housing by centering dwellings around communities in which the inhabitants gathers and creates social interactions. Designing dwellings to a wide spread of user segment bridges ages and creates different needs, from which the co-housing is designed. The focus on THIRD SPACE as a concept reflects design both in terms of functionality, comfort and accessibility.

MAYA MODELLING PROCESS The third model shows a merge between the surfaces, making it a Single Surface. Create mathematically smooth surfaces using relatively few control vertices via NURBS or hierarchical subdivision surfaces. Attach, detach, align, stitch together, extend, fillet, or rebuild NURBS surfaces with a high degree of control over parameterization and continuity. Surface modeling is a more complex method for representing objects than wireframe modeling, but not as sophisticated as solid modeling. Surface modeling is widely used in CAD (computer-aided design) for illustrations and architectural renderings. It is also used in 3D animation for games and other presentations. This Model was a simulation to study merge of surfaces with a void, creating a form that is multifunctional and of multipurpose. For Example, the model on the right bottom corner is a DESK STAND, that has a interesting mesh material. and the voids act as a pencil holder. These simulations can lead to multiple design typoliogies, that can be moulded to various forms spanning from a small scale to a large scale structures.
