You happen upon a welcome sight…
Hours away from warmth…
A refuge in the wilderness…
& the comfort of shelter…
Jutting from the earth.
You approach to park your snowmobile & explore.
The structure is wondrous…where is the entrance?
Ah, but your secret discovery is not so secret!
What have the others seen that you have yet to experience?
Success! It must be over here…
The stairs beckon you inside…
Whoa! It’s dark & cavernous in here!
But you quickly see lockers…
Ahhhh, & cherish the opportunity to warm up with a cup of steaming hot cocoa…
& use the restroom! But now where to…?
& welcome the chance to remove your heavy snowcovered gear…
It must be this way…
I wonder where this leads…going up!
Hmmm, curious... Where am I? What’s that light..?
It’s lighting a path for me. I guess I’ll follow it…
Huh…? More stairs? Where am I going exactly?
Wherever can these lead…?
…is that...the sky...? Is it evening already...?
But ... ohhhhhh !
This. Is. Amazing!!!!!! How special & rare it is to experience this.
I feel as though I’ve ascended into the heavens, the universe.
