ALL ARE WELCOME WHAT IS A ZINE? Derived from “fanzine” (a contraction of “fan magazine”) . Usually created and self published out of passion for the subject rather than personal gains. Zines have their roots in the alternative counterculture movement of the 1960s/70s to help people adopt alternatives to dominant systems in place of capitalism.
