What every interviewer expects from a candidate Preparing for an interview in Dubai or an interview in gulf countries? This article is for you. Every time you attend an interview, there are few things an interviewer wish they could tell you but never gets the chance to say so! Here are few things the interviewers really want to convey to you. Next time, you go for an interview, keep in mind the below points, they would greatly help you to position yourself in a way the interviewer likes you! 1) Be pleasing and likeable Every interviewer wants their next hire to have a pleasing personality. The candidate needs to develop some sort of ‘likenesses from the interviewer. Smile, be social, be warm, show corporate manners, be positive, sell your candidature professionally – these are some things which would help you develop likeness of the interviewer. 2) I want you to have content Beyond everything else, an interviewer expects you to have good knowledge about your respective industry and subject. Make sure you are well educated on the subject and on the position you are being interviewed for. 3) Make yourself unique and impress me An interviewer interviews quite a few candidates for the same position you are being interviewed for. Try to make yourself unique and have a unique selling point. Just as they want you to tell them why should they hire you, you need to tell them why you like this job and why you would be a good fit. 4) Ask me questions – sensible ones Interviewers expect you to ask questions. The reason being, by asking questions, they would be able to judge your reasoning skills, your interest in the position and how constructively you look at things. Express gratitude for sparing time and how excited you would be to work with them. 8) I want you to bring change With every new hire, the interviewers like to bring about positive change in the company and the team.
