Aram RÃos
A bit about me I was born in Vigo, Spain. I have a Bachelor´s degree in Fine Arts and in Creation and Design and a Masters degree in Ceramic: Art and Function. During my time at the University of Vigo and the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, I often exhibited my work at art exhibitions individually as as part of a collective. I have won awards in New Art Values and Plasic Arts. The latter was received from the Ministry of Art in Ourense, Spain. In 2017, I moved to the United Kingdom where I began investigating new ideas and forms that can be applied to ceramic sculptures and I have recently completed the first artistic series which can be viewed here.
About my artwork During the last few years, I have been exploring and experimenting with ceramics, embroidery and photography. I have researched, represented and performed subjects related to human beings and behavior from an introspective point of view and one of reclamation. My most recent work is called Morphologies of Anxiety and is my interpretion of mental health expressed through the art of ceramics. I have sculpted my vision of my own reminiscence intertwined with the worlds of flora and fauna. The pieces are created in earthenware with glaze and gold. The dimensions are aproximately 20x20x30cm.
Thank you
