Construction area (Old buildings pulled down)
Cities containing water elements can be described as lucky. The Porsuk stream is an important factor that divides the city into two. However, due to the wrong decisions taken today, it’s losing self-identity as a river. The project aims to leave a mark and give references to the whole city. The region is organized with volumes that will attract the attention of people and the aim is to achieve a dynamic public position by feeding with functions such as exhibition, workshop, activity and relaxation area. Besides, as a solution of density, an uninterrupted walking axis was identified on the river and asked for interaction with the river and the public. As the project idea, it’s aimed to expand the Porsuk Stream, to leave the whole project space underwater and build the project on the water. With its coastal design, urban contents were considered. On the other hand, The structure limbs extending from the structure were transformed into the lighting units of the back street (which is no longer the back street) which touch the river and gained a new identity in this way. As a conclusion, the interaction between the public and the river is increased and the area turns into a more social place for all ages of people.

The Primary school which is using the Montessori Method of Education. The main consept of building is providing children to unbounded spaces and common interaction sections. It has large, transparence working area in the middle of the building which is feeding from special learning area. This transparancy bring the outside to the inside also supporting outdoor learning. The school basically contains 16 classes, (each class has 20 student capacity.) 1 sports hall, 4 atelier, 1 library and 1 main social space. The weather is mostly cold and windy. In that case the solution was considered as using semi open areas and indoor playground for children. Using transparent walls with sunblinds helps to control the sun shine and help children feel outdoor experience. As a construction solutions, two different structural system used together. Steel beams used for covering two big main area ( sports hall and social space ) . For the rest of the building used reinforced concrete.

WORK AND TRAVEL USA Amazing experience! It was my first time to sustain my life that far away from my comfort zone. I went to Massachusetts alone and I came with lots of long-lasting friendships. I worked as a waiter and a cashier. I learned many things about American culture and business life. I earned my money and travel 4 state 7 cities in the US. I was a more confident person at the end of the program.
ERASMUS HUNGARY Studying abroad! Unbelievable 6 months in Europe. I was with tons of classmates from all over the world. Different cultures different ideas! There were many people from all over Europe and all of them were so open to sharing their culture. We studied together, traveled together, had fun together. We still miss each other and keep in touch. I feel more open-minded and creative!
BADEMLIK DESIGN FESTIVAL
This festival was all about art, architecture, and creativeness. There were 11 different topics about art and more than 150 participants and it was all organized by students. Every group has own professional mentor. I was a participant in the body performance group. We did experimental performances, body balance games, and everything. I improved my teamwork and self-confidence skills.
FEYZ ART ORGANIZATION As a team member of the University Design Club, this organization always makes me excited. We invited 12 distinct designers for benefit of their experiences. We worked hard for 6 months to arrange everything like specifying the subject find accommodation for guests and everything. I improved my problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills. And of course, I learned it’s not easy to make an organization :)
NATIONAL ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS MEETING 17’ It was not only for architecture students but also we worked with interior design, industrial design, urban planning students together. We shared our experiences and our style of how we are approaching the design. I developed my professional circle and working in harmony skills.
MARSHMALLOW TOWER CONTEST It was a contest for making architecture students more active and stick together. I can say everything started with this organization. Afterward, we made tons of organizations and contests. Right now we created a student community which is called “Ortakalan and as a vice-chairman of this community, I feel so happy to see people working with enthusiasm.
