Solar Decathlon India is a net-zero building design competition that is conducted annually throughout India. I was the finalist for the Multi-family Housing Division in 2024 as we partnered with MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) and Green Jams to create a net-zero faculty housing for the MAHE staff.

The Council of Architecture conducted a competition for documentation of an Architectural Heritage site for whcih I was selected to represent my college along with my peers where we submitted our documentation of the Jain Gutthu House in Udupi, Karnataka.

Incorporating "satori," or sudden enlightenment, in the design of a corporate green office building focuses on simplicity and a connection to nature. The design will feature open spaces, natural light, and indoor gardens to enhance creativity and mindfulness This approach promotes employee wellbeing while aligning with sustainability goals, creating a serene and inspiring workspace. By fostering a harmonious environment, the building aims to encourage innovation and collaboration among its occupants.

The green corporate office in Manipal will emphasize sustainability with passive cooling, natural ventilation, and energy-efficient materials. It will feature green roofs, shaded facades, and solar panels to create an eco-friendly workspace.
E V A T I O N S
Following, the concept the Building has a angular tilted floorplate structure. This is achieved through the floorplate getting additional balconies in a tilted form which allows the building to look tilted throughout. This also allows structural stability as the core is not disturbed and no additional columns were added as the balcony acted as a cantilever which is 4m wide.

Availability of abundant cultural and architectural heritage
Panjim is the capital of Goa and is perfect to create an iconic museum. Already a tourist spot so has a high foot traffic which is ideal for the design.

MUSEUM FOYER
The two design principles borrowed from the inspiration of Forts is the aspect of Levels followed in the stepped form of the building and Fortification followed in the plan where the built- form fortifies the central landscping with water body.
