Concept and Design Goals This early childhood center will be a place for children to grow their minds, imaginations, and personalities. This center will be a haven for learning, this will be represented by the symbol of the house. Home is where you can be comfortable and let your imagination flourish. The house shape will be repeated throughout the design. There will also be many nooks where the children can hide away and feel safe and comfortable like they do at home. Color will come in pops to not over stimulate their growing minds, natural wood tones will be used throughout to ground the children as well. Windows are abumdant throughout the space this will give them access to nature. The outdoor spaces will also be easily assessacble so the children have nature around them always. The minimal design will help keep their focus on learning as well. Overall the children will feel at peace at the center.
NEXT HUB 03
Concept and Design Goals The NEXT office will be a workplace that embodies the company’s mission of mindfulness and Wellness. The design inspiration comes from the feeling of sitting under trees as the sun shines through the leaves. When a person sits under a tree they become more relaxed their heartbeat slows their blood pressure is lowered and they’re breathing fresh oxygen. The goal is to invoke the same feelings indoors to create a sense of common security where all employees feel welcome to work and live. This concept will be shown to the lighting and linear elements in the space.

DIGESTIVE HEALTH CLINIC 04
Technology Used: Revit, Enscape, Photoshop
Concept and Design Goals The concept for this digestive health clinic came from the Japanese and Buddhist styles and teachings of Wabi Sabi. Wabi Sabi in Buddhists culture means accepting the imperfect and life's challenges in stride and finding the beauty in the change and difficulties. People suffering from illness could use this philosophy to help cope during difficult times. This concept is brought to fruition by the choice of natural from the earth materials, geometric prints, and overall minimalism. Although traditional Wabi Sabi design uses antique pieces the main idea is that the pieces of furniture are well made and will last for many years to come. In this design this is done by choosing the best commercial furniture pieces from brands like OFS and some custom ones as well. These ideas in the Japanese tradition were said to calm the mind and bring about healing. Floor Plan Not to Scale
Design Problem This digestive health clinic will need to be designed functionally and provide users with a “spa like atmosphere”. Patients using the clinic will be treated for diseases such as Cohn’s disease, acid reflux, IBS, hepatitis, among others. The design needs to evoke calmness and healing. Lastly this clinic must be designed for flexibility and growth.
