DESCRIPTION: Uses a strain of Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki to provide broad spectrum control for a long list of Lepidopteran pests that feed on a wide variety of plants. Fertilome® Dipel® Dust It Takes Just One Bite Of This Dust To Make Leaf-Eating Worms Stop Feeding. TARGET: Armyworms, budworms, diamondback moths, hornworms, leafrollers, loopers, spongy moths (previously known as gypsy moths), tent caterpillars, webworms and more. DESCRIPTION: This is a biological insecticide powered by the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki (Btk). Btk targets pests in the Lepidoptera order and poses no threat to any animal or insect outside that order. When a caterpillar ingests treated foliage, the Btk releases a type of endotoxin which paralyzes the caterpillar’s digestive tract. The caterpillar will stop feeding and die a short time later. Use on vegetables, shrubs, lawns and flowers. SUGGESTED USE: Use at the beginning of the pest’s life cycle (1st and 2nd instars). Dust thoroughly to cover all plant surfaces. Vegetables: loopers and webworms: 1/4-1 oz; armyworms: 1-2 oz; diamondback moths: 1/4-1/2 oz. Turf: Sod webworms: 2-4 oz. Call or refer to the manufacturer’s label online for more detailed crop and pest-specific applications. 1207010 1207011
