2022 MOE Scholarship Program for Overseas Study in Arts and Design Workshop rapidly design - Modern Micro Sanctuary
Concept Although temple and cultural beliefs are no longer exist, they are preserved in a different form. I want to reshape the cultural belief by combining nature sunshine and mountain spring water. Also, I want to emphasize the relationship between the cave, people, and sanctuary.
● As a sanctuary, I believe that faith can be expressed in different forms, perhaps through daylight and nature.

● Now
● In the past, there were many temples and religious structures in the cave. They have became the religion belief of the local. However, the temple and religious structures were tear down by the government in 2017.
● The spring falls when the waves come. It is like two forces calling to each other. This is also one of the reasons for the name of this cave
● With the passage of time, the device on the cave wall influence visitor's path in the cave changed with the sun.

Seaons
While snow melting walking into the pasture along with the stream of water, following the green.While the water level of lake rises. Guests could have a joy with riding canoes.Fog , morning sun and mist, hidden in the valley, shuttled in the coniferous forest.Snow and heavy snow fall, layer upon layer, lift a corner of the snowdrift.
Visitors
There are many ski trail near the Lake Braies , skiing is the most popular activity in winter . Canoes are the historical way to cross the lake since a hundred year ago , tourists can enjoy the natural scene while boating .Trail around the lake is another way to cross the lake . There are also many trails in Dolomites , mountains which surround the lake .

● Converge The surrounding mountains offer view on the "Pearl among Dolomite lakes", considered to be the most beautiful lake.
● Undulation With the change of seasons and the condition of melting snow , the water level of the lake will bring different curve.
● Accumulated snow Layers of snowfall on Lake in winter form snow scene,and the shape of the building is transformed into the scene.
● Braies lake Base in the flat area between the mountains and valleys, skiers and hikers frequently pass by , transforming the terrain to decline.
● The atrium yard is surround by four buildings of our hotel . Passengers will have different experiences here because of the changing seasons. It is considered to be the best spot for family with young kids.

● On the Lake Baries , there is a traditional outdoor activity - canon . People could enjoy the view of the lake and our hotel will become a new anchor point for guests .

● The trail way leads to the Lobby, to recept the visitors.
● The hotel is committed to bringing nature into the building. When people stand by the lake, the woods and trees along the mountains and water are reflected in their eyes. Bringing nature into the building is the primary goal. The guest rooms are equipped with large windows facing the lake and the mountains. It brings the view into the interior space as much as possible.

The main indoor space is the landscape restaurant next to the snow-viewing corridor. From the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy the spectacular scenery, and the snow and lake views are all at once.
The rooms are divided into six types, with low-key and luxurious design as the mainstay. The furniture adopts a simple style. The main focus is on the natural scenery outside the window and the changing scenery of the seasons .

Conpect
Regarding the volume of the building itself, in addition to the basic design techniques related to Bauhaus geometric segmentation and simple facades, we continue to retain the traditional and unchangeable using . For the future campus planning, we have adopted "fuzzy zoning" and " The design technique of "complex moving lines" is used to connect the units and spaces. The technique of complex path is our transformation of the future "multiple characteristics" and "nonunique solutions", and it is also a comment on the infinite possibilities. The free interweaving and flow of the dynamic lines and the space will create new possibilities for various campus spaces.To the future campus of Bauhaus, rather than an environment with only one answer. 24

It initiated the pioneering of artists and craftsman as a teacher at the same time .This education method which emphasizes theory and practice has influenced the later design department education.We will explore campus space in innovative and experimental way.

This design is to make sure the ground floor space could be open to the surrounding residents and students, creating an open and flowing space for activities, to match the speed of the side trains and also to keep the existing vision without being obstructed at the same time . Through the design technique, the floating units can combine the flow of the train with the mass of the building through the sense of speed and the floating façade , create a futuristic and fluid campus.

To t h e s i t e – I n o r d e r t o k e e p t h e connection with the adjacent train tracks and to maintain the prevent residents' view of the base , so that they can perceive the existence of the train and the speed.

Issue
Despite Taiwan receiving the second-highest amount of rain of any country in the world, it is number 18 for the frequency of water shortages. However, city is prone to serious flooding during heavy rains, which causes flooding with harmful consequences on the environment, the population and the economy.
Concept
Taking the concepts of plants to absorb water, store water, and filter water as an idea, in today's era of global water shortage. If it cannot effectively store rainwater, it will face a serious water shortage problem during the dry season in both cities and villages. 30

Situation
Parks and green spaces, are regarded as detention ponds in the city, provide a buffer for the city, but heavy rains still cause flooding. Urban is difficult to improve the bearing capacity, and more use of the underground space of the building for flood storage. Water conservation：It will be flooded every time , tower not only the storing water function but also purifying water a function by each layer, and provide clean water for people's livelihood . 1. Diversion well The water is distributed to the water purification equipment by the regulator. 2. Fast mixing pool Add PAC to the water to mixing pool and rapid mixing by various stirrings. 3. Gelling pool It is stirred by a slow speed gelling machine to gradually combine particles. 4. Sedimentation tank The water that has formed particles can separate and suspend larger particles. 5. Quick filter There are many microorganisms in the water after precipitation will be removed 6. Clean pool The clean water after quick filtration finally enters the clean pool .

Current Issues
The current entrance sign and the guard room are divided into two parts, which makes the entrance look a bit cluttered and the original green space is not properly planned, making the entrance poorly connected to the outside and making the campus look distant from people.

The three main conceptual elements used in this design are radio transmission, Brutalism, and cut and rounded corners, which come from the campus itself, taking elements and inspiration from the surrounding architectural forms and integrating them into the direction of the campus development.
Linking Inside and Out
The original ventilation ducts were out of place in the school, but by using the same elements and vocabulary as the entrance design, the design has been integrated, and the original map display has been changed to a laser engraved metal plate, which not only enhances the visual experience, but also achieves the effect of unity between inside and outside.

In this renovation, we integrated the original separate signboards into the building façade, making the entrance design more integral and adding a backlit design so that everyone can clearly see the signboards and the school name even at night, and the appearance is based on the school's teaching direction as a reference and the precious Roughneck architectural style is applied to the design vocabulary in a transformed form.
Material Choice
In the choice of materials, the main body is made of white ceramic, which allows the light to be reflected. On the front facade, various materials are used to give a multi-layered effect to the facade , and neon lights are used as the base, together with black metal plates and matte metal plates to show a futuristic and technological sense, without losing its sense of calmness in the choice of colors. The main visual focus is to visualize the lines of radio wave transmission. ● Night Perspective

● Standing on the shoulders of giants
Tromsø, a city in northern Norway, is a major cultural hub above the Arctic Circle. It’s famed as a viewing point for colourful Northern Lights that sometime light up the nighttime sky. Being a major cultural and historical hub for Norway, Tromso has a dire requirement for a global-level cultural centre that brings tourists to Tromso or Norway at large - and provides them with the original ' Arctic Experience '

In this country full of elves, stacked stones hold a local culture where visitors make wishes to the aurora by stacking stones. Inspired by the imageries of the stacked stones at Storsteinen and Sami tents, we created a connection to allow the museum and visitors to encounter locals and the aurora. A series of space sequences inserted in the wall , inviting visitors to stroll “above the city.”
● The space of the museum are arranged around a light well with 6 meters in up diameter, 14.2 meters in down diameter, and 26.15 meters in height. It is a routine for all spatial organization with the light well being both the starting point and the end point.
Element
On Storsteinen people can see the whole view of Tromsø, the port, streets, churches, aurora, bridges and other beautiful scenery. If we have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants , we have to reflect on the fundamentals. Through these elements of environmental culture and customs, mutual tolerance and connection, development of space

● People will start from passing through the light well, walk along the irregular path which winds down to the bottom of the conical space while inadvertently looking back into the light well through the apertures at different levels. Eventually, they will walk along the light well back to the starting point.

The light gradually dims as people walk. Visitors need to find peace to move forward to the beginning of the adventure.

● The Sami tents light
The semi-arc conical space, which is the same appearance of the Sami tents for centuries, is the richness of history and the refinement of culture. In humanities, it presents inward reflection and improvement; in nature, it presents fusion, respect and harmony. In the face of nature, in addition to humility, you can also find a peopleoriented place.

Current Issues
The formation and spread of slums has made Mumbai the most contradictory city in the world. The rich commercial center "contrasts" with the wretched poverty, squalor and disease of the slum while the fast-growing global economy "contrasts" with the lack of urban governance, and the fastdeveloping region "contrasts" with the strong sociospatial differences.

These multifaceted reasons have intensified more complex dichotomy. However, cities and slums are not he closed communities with self-sufficiency. They are inextricably linked together in modern city.
Binary Opposition
The inseparable relationship between cities and slums leads to the phenomenon of the transcending the dichotomy. When the conflict itself is not conflicting anymore, there is a possibility of transcendence. We consider that the dichotomy in concrete jungles has deprived people’s approach of nature, while in slums, the dichotomy has also deprived people’s statuses and human rights of the society, which restricts their situations of the horizontal constructions and the economic development.

The project will redesign and replan the dwelling units of the slum by extending the original tight packed houses with winding paths in vertical directions in exchange for more open spaces while retaining the original privacy and the convenience.
