Perthwasthefirstplace outsideSydneytogreetthe Australianwhojustfour monthsbeforehadmade uniquehistoryforthose times,beingthefirstAustralian-borncardinalinthe collegeof70atamoment whenPopePiusXIIopenedthecollegeranksextensivelytonon-Italians.
