TheCatholicEducationCommissionofWA hastokenupthecontentiousissueofquestionableliteratureinschoolsandputoutaseries ofguidelines.

Thestatement,whichis printedinfullonpage7, indicatesthattherehasbeen somegapbetweenschoolattitudesandparents'expectations.

Thechairmanofthe Commission,FatherJ. Nestor,overwhosename thestatementappears,said thatitwasnormalforthe commissiontoissuedocumentsthatcouldbeaworkingbaseforsolving flictsonthisandotherissues.

Hesaidthatthematter ofproblematicalliterature hadbeenraisedbytheP. andF.andotherindividuals.

DIFFERENCES

Theproblemwaslikely tobeoneoftheparents andteachershavingdifferingpointsofview,hesaid.
