Itwouldseematthisstage thatonewayofminimising thedifficultieswouldbefor clubstoputundercontract thoseplayerswhomthey wishtobemembersoftheir respectivesquadsandthen
anytransfers,orrefusalof them,couldbenegotiated withinthetermsofthe bindingcontract.
Underthatsystemany playernotreceivinga contractwouldbefreeto moveabout;thiswould dependtoalargeextenton hisabilityandhisprospects ofobtainingaberthinany club.
Forcontractedplayers therewouldhavetobe mutualagreementtoenda contractifanyplayerwished tomoveandtheclubagreed. Thisisprobablyan oversimplificationofthe matteranditwouldbe necessarytogetaconsensus amongtheplayersforthis,or anyothersystem,tobe workable.
