Gluelam Weave
Skyhive Timber Skyscraper Competition
2023 · Individual
Glulam Weave is London’s next landmark skyscraper located at London South Bank. The area has great development potential to grow for high rises as the city area across the river has been overpopulated with skyscrappers. The tower is inspired by the weaving patttern of the London Bridge train station, and expand the logic into the air. The tower is constructed with glulaminated timber. The weaving pattern is studied with the interlocking system used for structural purposes and the interstitial system creating the stricking aesthetics of the facade.
Location: Magdalen St, SE1, London, UK The weaving pattern was derivative from the weaving London Bridage station railways, the historical symbol that witness the city evolvement in centuries. The pattern is explored as timber structural support that extends vertically in tho the skyline, echoing neighboured The Shard.
Barbican Reimagined
2022 · Group Project with Du Li, Dayong Zhang Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL Instructor: Gilles Retsin, Manuel Jimenez Garcia
Barbican Reimagined is a study of the symbolic Brutalistic Barbican social housing project in centeral London. The adaptive framework of program allocation massing and construction detail is envisioned in a similar Las Vegas social housing program in modern setting.
The reimagined project explore the environmental improvement with timber and rammed earth construction. The new site specific conditions and setting inspires the housing-casino-shopping mixed used megastructure.
Terra is a sustainable initiative exploring the non-traditional application of rammed earth construction. The project fully investigates the constraints of the material and turns it into a new aesthetic through aggregation.

Minor Symphony
Competition
2023 · Individual Project
Minor Symphony is a poetic exploration of space harmonization with nature. The deliberation of fluidity as visual language blurs the boundary between within and without. Located on a mountainside, the Minor Symphony Hotel is a reflection of the organic scenery in the ecosystem and its resonance with the inner peace of the inhabitants.
Skeleton and Body
Individual Project · 2020 Fall
Cornell University · Core Studio I
Instructor: Caroline O’Donnell
Skeleton and Body are drastic architectureal contrasts, while funcational closely intertwined. Skeleton carries structure, the conjunction, while body proides guidence, the action.
The library stems from a basic component derived from the site, the Philly Rail Park. The aggregation explores site specific vacancy and solidity from paralleled but simultaneous investigations on the body-centric library and its skeleton-centric public space.

Flight Ways Typology
EVolo Skyscraper Competition Personal Project · 2020For over 60 million years, birds’ flight ways were blessed with freedom. Tragically, birds’ natural rights have been deprived drastically in the post-industrial age. In the book Flight Ways, author Thom van Dooren discerns the impact of human activities among all factors accountable for the accelerating extinction of birds, noticeably the mass usage of glass on buildings and climate change.
This project addresses the impact of architecture on the natural environment. A series of principles derived from the rain forest system guide spatial orientations. A canopy structure creates voids resembling the mid-range flight ways. Nest pods provide habitual and congregational space without imposing obstructions on the mobility of birds. The instrument channels a visionary type that defines space around animal behaviors.
