TROPHEE BETON CONTEST CONCEPTUAL PROJECT
C O M P L E M E N TA R Y I N F O R M AT I O N
The aim of this project is to create a replicable basis for a building that could house either family housing or student housing, young workers homes, offices, etc... The structure presents permanent parts and flexible parts. A main staircase leads to exterior corridors which permit to enter the interiors through loggias. The main rooms of the flats are always turned to the side of the building which has no corridor, to preserve intimacy. The building is appealed to be changing in the next decades. The flooring systems and the exterior corridors are made of wood or iron. They can be removed, to change the building’s function.

I was invited in «la Fabrique» team to teach both drawing techniques and architecture representation with two french graphists and three urbanists. The project is quite complete. complete study of several parts of Paris suburbs. I also prepared courses to teach representation history and to give students references for communication. After these two years, I have also been invited to assist Patrick Rubin in his project studio and Paul Landauer in his research course, both in marne-la-Vallée architecture school. Unfortunately, I was already planning to move to Hong-Kong, so I had to decline these offers.

HOUSING AND OFFICE TOWER AUBERVILLIERS - FRANCE
C O M P L E M E N TA R Y I N F O R M AT I O N
The goal of this project is to create an energy-efficient building by using natural heat provided by offices (computers and human activity) to prewarm the air wich is injected in the housing units. The tower is litteraly separated in two columns which are totally independant. Only the air systems are connected in the basement of the building. Concerning the design, the facade is inspired of the modernity of Chicago’s style. With a regular structure, and equal window bays, only the constructive filling of the window bays changes from one part to another, according to the orientation and the interior function.

How to bring economic and cultural life into an isolated suburb of Paris? These suburbs of Paris are considered as too dense places because of their large housing operations. Outsiders are often considering that the lack of space is the main issue of these places. For me, the lack of life, of shops and of public equipments is the real problem,

public transportations and an a range of cultural and commercial activities... The project starts from the venue of new metro and tramway lines and the importation of artists in residence in the new «Medicis» project in the existing Utrillo tower. Combined with other urban elements, these infrastructural and cultural elements are a good start to recreate life in this lost area.

The famous french actor Jean-Paul Belmondo offered his father’s sculpture collection to the city of Boulogne-Billancourt to make a museum. That’s how this amazing noble house turned to a contemporary museum. The project creates different light atmospheres which are related to the existing shape of the house.
