MWR was especially appreciative of our help with the 2015 Base 2 Base/Half Marathon: Running of the Leprechauns. We helped 325 runners by manning water tables, setting up/tearing

will be hosting our volunteer recognition awards banquet. Our theme for this event will be “Everyday Heroes...not all heroes wears capes”. The Red Cross

Ikyrra Francois-Melville is our March Volunteer of the Month Ikyrra is originally from the Island of Trinidad so she hasn’t wasted any time getting acquainted with the Island of Sicily. She gained experience in ordering, inventorying, financial reporting, and customer service through several businesses in the USA. In 2013, she completed the Inpatient and Sigonella American Red Cross NAS1, Bldg. 318, Rm 1201 624.4900
Outpatient Medical Billing and Coding course. Ikyrra started volunteering with us last November and has found a perfect match in the Patient Administration Department with LT Loreli Owen’s team.

MWR Motta Extreme Trail Run MWR is looking for volunteers to help with their Motta Extreme Trail Run on April 25 from 0700—1300. The start time for run is 10:00am in Motta. Volunteer show time at NAS I base or NAS II base is 0700 if taking the volunteer shuttle. MWR takes all volunteers to a café in Motta first and then heads to the course for set up. If volunteers
