Pollard Thomas Edwards combines design talent, commercial acumen and social commitment to lift every day places out of the ordinary PTE is proud to support the University of Cambridge Architecture Society Summer Show 2017
The design process is inclusive and we are all encouraged to have an input. Everyone’s opinion is valid and listened to, and this applies to all aspects of the practice. Staff are encouraged to think about how we operate as a business and contribute towards PTE’s success on many levels.” Rebecca Lee Architect / Joined PTE in 2013
“I enjoy the working environment at PTE. Despite being a busy practice, it is not a stressful place nor do I feel the pressure of having to take work home at the end of the day. I enjoy coming into work because there is a healthy work life balance here. The office is in a fantastic location, right by the canal, with plenty of places to enjoy a good lunch.” Danny Ceurvels Architect / Joined PTE in 2012

Cambridge University Land Society is an informal alumni society which was formed over 50 years ago with two objectives: • to give an opportunity for members to meet each other, to make and renew friendships and to foster amongst them a spirit of good fellowship and co-operation; • to act as a link between members from within and outside the Department of Land Economy of the University and to provide opportunities for the exchange of views upon and discussion of matters of interest. We have almost 1,000 members who bring together a diversity of experience and interests. Some left Cambridge in the 1950s, others graduated last year, and some are current students of the Land Economy Department, and the Department of Architecture. Many members of the Society are in senior positions in their profession, while others are just starting their careers. The majority are or have been Chartered Surveyors, in major West End and provincial practices, the financial institutions and in smaller or more specialised firms. Many other members work in sectors associated with property – for example, in the financial sector, consultancy, business, the academic world and the public sector. Members will join other alumni who have achieved senior positions in the commercial property, legal, and rural land professions as well as leaders in public companies, local, and national government bodies, and in senior positions in the City of London. The Society provides high quality networking opportunities as well as some excellent social events w ith fellow members throughout the UK and occasionally from overseas. CULS APEC Forum (Architecture, Planning, Engineering and Construction) was launched in summer 2013 to also embrace Architects, Planners and Engineers working in commercial property design, construction and operation. Membership of the Society is open to consist of graduates, and undergraduates of the University of Cambridge who either studied at the Department of Land Economy, the Department of Architecture, or having studied in other fields have since moved into the Property Profession.
