arctic Trend Update Issue 2 2011
Design, colours and inspiration. This is our last issue for the year and we have filled it with inspiration from our last months here in the arctic and abroad. We have been on a journey inside ourselves trying to find the answer for what makes us tick, what really matters & what makes us Happy? What are those moments that leaves us with that feel good fealing in a world filled with chaos, war, upbreak and revolution? We are all rich with peoples stories, people that are living right among us, everywhere, all we need to do is pause and start listening. Trends are moving faster in a global world, we are closer eachother as well as more local than before. Interesting. Hope this will inspire you as well. Enjoy!
Earth... is what really matters. Few things are so luxurious like walking out to my chicken house and pick some fresh eggs in the morning. Being greeted by the hens and rooster and their gentle cackling. They do like Mozart, especially Figaros Wedding, as well as other classical music, and ofcourse they do love those special treats of fresh cucmber, corn or cheese. Those moments things are put in perspective. Living far from the city pulse is a great way of gathering my thoughts and sorting out things in the global buzz. P a u s i n g . . . . . . . . What really matters are not the fast changing fashion trends but the air we breath, loved ones and our earth. Then ofcourse after pausing, I am ready to hit the buzy city pulse, spotting for new interesting and inspiring things...
... “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. -Coco Chanel
