RESTURANT//KIOSK

THE SAME MATERIAL (WOODEN TEXTILE) WAS USED IN DIFFERENT DESIGN ELEMENTS TO CREATE ONE COHERENT FEEL. THROUGH THE GEOMETRIC SHAPE OF THE MATERIAL AN ORGANIC OVER-ALL LOOK WAS RENDERED TO GIVE AN ATTRACTIVE VIBE TO THE HEALTHY FOOD THE STORE IS OFFERING AND PROMOTING

THE VEGAN PLACE

CONCEPT : USING THE SAME MATERIAL IN VAROUS WAYS, SAME AS THE SAME INGREDIENTS ARE USED IN VARIOUS RECIPIES TO GET DIFFERENT FLAVOURS

MATERIAL:

WOODEN TEXTILE

FOR THIS PROJECT, COMPUTERISED 3D MODELING AND MANUAL RENDERING SKILLS WERE USED

SUSTANABLE ORPHANAGE

Design process started with creating an apartment for each famiLy each family is 5-6 children and a mother

CONECPT TO CREATE A FAMILY AND A COMMUNITY FOR THE ORPHANS THROUGH THE FACIITIES PROVIDED

A COMMON DINING AREA ADDED TO THE DESIGN FOR ALL THE "FAMILIES" IN THE ORPHANAGE THE SAME COLORED GLASS IMPLEMENTED AROUND THE PROJECT WAS ALSO A KEY ELEMENT IN THE DESIGN OF THE DINING HALL, BUT WITH A SPECIFIC COLOUR PALETTE. WARM COLOURS, RED, ORANGE, AND YELLOW, THE APPETITE RESPONDS TO THOSE COLOURS POSITIVLY. THE CHOICE OF MATERIALS WAS INFLUENCED BY THE SUSTAINABLE NATURE OF THE PROJECT. AFFORDABLE, LONG-LIFE, AND SUSTAINABLE WAS THE GOAL, SO MDF SEATS WERE PLACED AND LIGHT, NONSLIP, CONCRETE FLOORS.

A LIBRARY, A READING AREA, AND A STUDY HALL WERE AN IMPORTANT PART IN THE DESIGN OF THE ORPHANAGE. THE SIGNIFICANCE AND VALUE OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION NEEDED TO BE EMPHASISED AND FOCUSED ON BY THE OFFICIALS AND THE ORPHANS THEMSELVES, ALL TO CREATE A BETTER FUTURE FOR THEM WITH THE PROPER BASE-THEIR EDUCATION A CALM, YET LIVELY COLOURE PALETTE WAS APPOINTED TO THIS AREA AND INDUCED THROUGH THE COLOURED GLASS AND FURNITURE

RENOVATION PROJECT // TEMPORARY USE

Located in the heart of the Jordanian capital, Amman, is Daret Ibrahim Hashim, a house built in the 1920’s and was the residnece of one of the first prime ministers in the country. Today, this building is being renovated to be added to the Jabal Amman campus of the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), German Jordanian University. For this project we were asked to create a multifuncional building that would serve various porpouses and gold different events, workshops, and exhibitions during the school year. The part I designed was a space for project display, final design juries and project critic

THE CONCEPT REVOLVED AROUND THE INTERESTING CONTRAST BETWEENN THE OLD AND THE NEW . THIS PARTICULAR BUILDING HAD A STRONG CHARACTER THAT WAS EVIDENT IN THE DETAILS; THE WINDOWS, THE SOFT TURQUOIS COLOR OF THE WALLS, THE PATTERNED TILES. THIS CHARACTER I CHOSE TO KEEP AND PROTECT IN MY DESIGN, WHILE ADDING CONTEMPORARY FURNITURE SYSTEMS TO REFLECT THE CONCEPT.

RESINDENTIAL PROJECT

A HOUSE, A HOME FOR MAHMOUD DARWISH. DARWISH IS A RENOUNCED PALESTINIAN POET, HE WAS A REVOLOUTIONARY YET RECLUSIVE POET WHO ''ENJOYED HIS LONLINESS AND PRIVACY'' THIS RESIDENCE WAS DESIGNED TO FIT HIS CHARACTER, AND TO BE HIS HOME AND ASYLUM

FOR THIS 3RD SEMESTER PROJECT, BOTH MANUAL AND COMPUTERISED SKILLS WERE APPLIED SECOND FLOOR

FIRST FLOOR

A SPECIAL FUNCTION ROOM WAS ADDED TO THE RESIDENCE. A LIBRARY THAT DOUBLE FUNCTIONS AS A SOCIAL ROOM FOR DARWISH TO HOST POETRY NIGHTS AND BOOK DISCUSSIONS FOR HE ONLY REACHED TO OTHER PEOPLE THROUGH HIS POETRY AND MOSTLY HIS INTERACHIONS REVOLVED AROUND IT

AN EXTERIOR SHOT TO SHOW THE HOUSE AND THE SPECIAL FUNSTION ROOM FROM OUSIDE

FURNITURE DESIGN

RECYCLED FURNITURE PROJECT A STOOL WAS DESIGNED, AND MADE WITH TWO MATERIALS: BLUE WIRE HANGERS, AND A ROPE.

NO GLUE, NAILS, OR ANY OTHER ADHESIVE MATERIALS WERE USED TO ATTACH AND JOIN THE STOOL

THIS CHAIR WAS DESIGNED TO BE BUILT USING THE SCREENING METHOD, USING ONLY CARDBOARD AND NO ADHESIVES. THE CARDBOARD PEICES INTERSECTED IN CALCULATED DISTANCES TO FORM A STABLE STRUCTURE THAT COULD CARRY AVERAGE HUMAN WEIGHT
