There should be better to come from EAGLE DAY, who has shown clear promise in a trio of maidens and now gets the chance to show what he can do in a handicap off an opening mark that surely underestimates him. Wadi Bani is 0-9 but that only tells half the story and he is feared on the back of an encouraging display in a big field at Newmarket Chelmsford-winner American Belle and unexposed handicap debutante Pop World are others to consider

RACE STATS RACE SUMMARY

It was hard not to be impressed by the way EMBESTO went about his business on debut at Yarmouth last month and, armed with plenty of scope for improvement, he is taken to follow up here before going on to better things Modesty has been handed some fancy entries on the back of a promising debut success atYork in October and is likely to make his presence felt. Carbis Bay and Halla Dubai should both be winning before long, while newcomersTujjaar and Unlimited are appealing types on paper

Horse Welfare Comes First At Doncaster

At every race meeting at Doncaster our top priority is the safety and welfare of both horse and rider We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting.

Use of Screens

It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse.

Please do not assume the worst if you see screens erected around a fallen horse!
