This looks a formality for multiple PA Group winner EKLEEL ATHBAH who will most likely use this a prep for a Group race in September. Course winner Abiyah Athbah won’t let her have an easy race however, as she is also proven over this trip on the Polytrack and could exploit any weakness in the favourite, but will need to raise her game to do so

UAE President Cup (UK Arabian Derby) Group 1PA £80,000

The UAE President Cup series is the oldest Purebred Arabian classic series, with 15 races scheduled across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the United States of America in 2023. The series was established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote and celebrate the Arabian horse worldwide and its significant place in UAE culture and history. The series renewed its association with the UK Arabian Derby, a Group 1PA contest with a prize fund of £80,000, when it moved to Doncaster in 2016 and the race has been a consistent source of Group 1PA winners ever since. In 2023, the UAE President Cup series celebrates its 30th year of global competition. This year the race takes place at Doncaster on Saturday 19th August.
