RACE STATS

LEADING COURSE TRAINER (17-22): D McCain (54 wins from 267 runners, 20%) runs NELL’S BELLS TRAINER-IN-FORM (LAST 14 DAYS): W Coltherd (1 win from 7 runners, 14%) runs MIDNIGHT SHUFFLE LONGEST TRAVELLER: WINDTOTHELIGHTNING trained by O Greenall & J Guerriero, Malpas, 157 miles.

WINDTOTHELIGHTNING showed plenty to work on when third on Rules debut at Doncaster in November and, likely to know more this time, she’s just about the most persuasive option. Aubis Walk is a big player if over a fall 3 weeks ago, while Nell’s Bells has a penalty to shoulder for her Wetherby win but has to command respect.
