WELCOME
Dear All,
As we open the gates to Royal Windsor for the first meeting of the 2023 season, we look forward to another season of exciting action on the banks of the River Thames, with many of our fixtures taking place in our traditional timeslot on Monday evenings.
Among all of our racegoers here today, we would like to welcome back our annual members to the racecourse and remind you all that ARC membership entitles you to access nearly every raceday in our extensive portfolio of tracks around the country. Further details on our ARC membership can be found online https://www.windsorracecourse.co.uk/
This afternoon’s feature race is the At The Races App Market Mover Handicap, a competitive six furlong sprint. Similar races for speedy horses like today’s runners are a regular feature of the summer season here and always present racegoers with a serious challenge to find the winner
As the season progresses we will again have plenty of our popular themed evenings including Irish Racenight, Rum n Reggae and Soul & Motown, many of them with a live music concert to follow the racing. The annual three-day midsummer Festival will take place from 1-3 July and this year we have four Family Fun racedays with dedicated entertainments for the next generation of racegoers at Royal Windsor
On the evening of 8 May there’s a rare opportunity to attend a race meeting marking the coronation of a new monarch. In view of the racecourse’s proximity to the royal town of Windsor, there’s sure to be a special atmosphere as we and the nation welcome King Charles III to the throne.
Throughout the season, we recommend that you consult our website www.windsorraceourse.co.uk to see the various packages that are available, including a tempting range of meal deals, with discounts for advance bookings. I do hope you enjoy the season opener today and that you will be able to return to Royal Windsor soon
Best Wishes
