APARTMENT COMPLEX PIK Profeccional experience IND Architects in collaboration with MSP (USA) and JTP (Great Britain) Location: Moscow. Russia Date: 2020.9 - 2020.11 Role: Project management, 3d modeling, landscape design The key point of this project was firstly, to bring together the heritage buildings that are situated on the site with a comfortable living and community spaces. Secondly, it was important to find a balance between public and privat spaces as well as propose the most efficient design that would work with the limits and regulations of this adjective territory and bring in as much greenery as possible. The project is build on three thoroughly developed components: Placemaking, Landscape, Architecture.

The project presents a design for a Research Center of engineering and technology, based on CDIO standards. The main approach is to create not only comforltable and suitable design for various research laboratories, but also to make them flexible and adaptive to future changes as well as creating effective social space that would contribute for building a good team-work skills through Conceiving, Designing, Implementing and Operating processes.

START POINT AMPHITHEATER
The start point of the inner street is the amphitheater adjusted to the stairs. It becomes resting and students interacting place. The second and smaller amphitheater is located on the 4th floor of the research unit.

The platforms appear along the length of the entire street between the floors. They provide a place for students working on their own projects.

The library as a part of a Conceiving and Design processes is located on the upper floors. The library is the end point of the internal street of the educational unit. The library windows facing south need to have a protection from direct sunlight, that creates a contition for a facade system installation.

Independent cells are located under the curved street volume. They focus on trainings with practical implementing, where students are directly engaged in collective studying process. It contains everything students will need while interacting in teams.
On the last floor is occupied by offices and laboratories of independent researchers. this stage is the end point of the internal street and the last stage of education in the field of engineering technology, representing the highest level of professionalism

Social spaces are formed where the street crosses the floors. This space is used for recreation, communication and work on individual projects.
OF 2 PART FABLAB Public FabLab space adjoins the inner street. The internal glazing system opens the view to the student’s flow inside the research center to the visitors. The exhibition space located on the ground floor is also used to showcase the products of research and design activities.
