Encouraging a thicker, lusher lawn

In order to ensure a lawn looks great and is also healthy and disease-free, it needs to be scarified to rid it of thatch and moss.

Scarifying removes surface thatch which enables oxygen, light and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots, encouraging thicker, lusher growth. Countax’s optional Scarifier cassette, part of the PGC+ cassette system*, makes light work of this laborious process.

Twenty-four individual tines rip through the thatch and moss at high-speed, removing material from the bed of the lawn and into the hopper. Simply insert the scarifier cassette into the PGC+ and start scarifying.

Another benefit of the Scarifier cassette is there is no need to buy a separate walk-behind scarifier and collection system. The PGC+ does them both simultaneously, saving time and money. Simply empty as you would grass clippings.

A powered scarifier is available for the A Series tractor, driven by the tractor’s power take-off. Use the Powered Grass Collector to sweep up the unwanted thatch and empty as you would cut grass.
