Active Reel technology comprises the main LCD with reel windows, shutters, and reels with enhanced reel lighting. The shutters allow the LCD to return to full screen video mode as well as block certain reels during bonus games. In keeping with the iconic identiﬁer of a mechanical reel machine, the VIRIDIAN Hybrid includes a handle as an alternative method to spin the reels.
