"I did my research online for the practices in Arizona that offer varicose vein removal. I knew I wanted the EVLT treatment and wanted the procedure done by a Physician, not a cosmetic place. I narrowed it down to three Physicians and chose Dr. Sharma for his experience. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Arizona Vein & Laser Institute. Dr. Sharma is a wonderful physician. As he is performing the procedure, he explains what he is doing and is so concerned about making you feel comfortable. As for his staff, I cannot say enough good words. One thing I have learned in my lifetime is that your employees are only as good as you are. Dr. Sharma, you have a wonderful staff which says alot about you as an employer. I spent many office visits with them and every time they were pleasant, caring and professional. I was impressed by the way they worked as a team with Dr. Sharma. Thank you so much!" Joy A.

"I had called your office on a Monday morning to see if I could be fit in for an appointment as soon as possible because of a complication I had over the weekend. Being a new patient and never being seen at your office before it didn't matter because the woman who answered was not only kind, friendly and sypmathetic of my situation, but she was able to fit me in that very same afternoon. I have to say how incredibly impressed I was with the entire staff at this office but even more so with Dr. Sharma and Dr. Hecht. Their bedside manners are second to none. Thank you!" Scott Schrimp

If you love Italian food and live or travel to the West alley, chances are you ve heard of or eaten at Bella Luna Ristorante. A staple eatery in oodyear since 1 , Bella Luna serves up homemade Italian favorites in a family-friendly setting. wner osephine Billelo and her late husband Sal originally hailed from ew ork and have always been in the restaurant industry, she says. nown fondly as Mrs. Billelo to restaurant staff and customers, she is on site at Bella Luna most afternoons and evenings to greet patrons and make them feel at home. While we re from ew ork and spent time owning and managing restaurants in Texas, we ve always loved Arizona, Billelo says. We have three grown children and Bella Luna has always been family owned and operated. Billelo goes on and shares what some of her family members do at the popular eatery. My husband showed our sons everything they know, especially everything about meat we re known for our quality meat cuts. Two of my sons cook and my grandson handles advertising and coordinates deliveries through all the new delivery companies that we work with.
Billelo says that she and her family moved to the Pebble Creek area in the West alley back when it was new and sparsely populated. It s been wonderful to watch it grow, she says about the West alley. She adds that Bella Luna is named after a scene in the movie Moonstruck. The d cor at Bella Luna is upscale but cozy and dishes are priced on par with other local eateries. In addition to coming in and sitting down, patrons can also have Bella Luna delivered in the West alley and the restaurant offers catering services as well. Bella Luna, Billelo explains, is known for both classic and modern Italian cuisine. Every dish is from a family recipe and the food is always fresh. I d rather be out of something than serve it not fresh, she says. Some of our most popular dishes are our steaks and veal, and the lasagna flies out of here ther popular dishes at Bella Luna include the lamb chops, sso Bucco, Surf and Turf Italiano, and the tiramisu. Billelo adds that the restaurant has nightly specials. There is also a happy hour and a late night reserve happy hour, too. When it comes to alentine s Day, Billelo suggests making a reservation ASAP. She says it s a perfect date night spot. But, if you can t get in on February 1 , she says that spring

teering inner cit outh from vio ence to ard change Turn no one away. Pastor Cynthia Lazaro, executive director of the Damion osa Memorial Foundation D MF , has spent a lifetime ministering with that single purpose. From community outreach programs for the homeless to caregiving for the elderly, she has transformed and evolved her ministry whenever and however the need arose. However, it wasn t until her 35-year-old son, Damion osa, was tragically gunned down in his Phoenix home during a home invasion in une that her most important ministry took flight. At the time of his murder, my faith was shaken to its very core and all I could do was ask why Lord she says. It would have been easy for her to become bitter and hardened, but she knew she didn t want another mother to feel that pain. In speaking of her son s murderer, she says, The streets had made this kid. He probably didn t have a father figure or mentor in his life let alone a foundation of faith. In March 1 , Lazaro founded D MF to honor her son and empower, encourage, motivate and inspire at-risk youth to rise above their environments and reach their highest potential. Lazaro believes if we can influence the lives of youth, we can change a generation and prevent premature deaths due to violence. She says, ur goal is to cut crime and violence by percent by 5. As noted on their website, D MF helps at-risk youth by steering them toward a more Christ-like life, filled with integrity, love and respect. If we can instill these qualities and meet them where they are at, they will not go down the wrong path when confronted, Lazaro says.
D MF accomplishes its mission by offering a variety of free-of-charge outreach programs and activities under its key after-school program called E.M.P.L. . . Encouraging and Motivating Positive Leadership pportunities for outh . E.M.P.L. . . teaches a 1 -component curriculum that includes utrition, Self Esteem, Music Choir, Drug, un iolence and ang Prevention, Financial and Computer Literacy, Sign Language, Anti-Bullying and Tutoring. Along with art and educational field trips, D MF also provides after-school snacks and meals to youth members all within the framework of Biblical teachings. Lazaro s son, Damion, loved athletic competition and was known as an outstanding basketball player. To honor his legacy, D MF sponsors its own basketball teams to help boys and girls stay active and fit. D MF encourages and supports their success as they participate in competitive basketball tournaments locally and nationwide. In addition, D MF also offers Mothers and Families of Murdered Children, a dedicated support group food box distribution events to serve community members who have lost loved ones through an act of violence ids for Christ Choir and two mentorship programs catering to boys ages 1 to 1 .

Lazaro believes there is a misconception of today s youth as uneducated and unmotivated. Lazaro shares, I preach power She believes that every human being is powerful and adds, od is able to exceedingly and abundantly provide all we could ask or think. As testimony to this innate power, she relates the story of a young man who entered the program years ago ose came from Mexico and did not speak any English. When he entered our program, he wanted to learn the keyboard. So we taught him how to play along with tutoring English. I am proud to say that ose not only graduated from high school as an outstanding student, but was also accepted at Arizona State University ASU . Although he cannot currently afford the tuition, he does attend South Mountain Community College and hopes to eventually attend ASU.

” – Cindy E. “I’ve been competing in strength athletics since the age of 15 and have been competing at a professional level for the last 5 years. It wasn’t until 2014 that I needed to seek treatment for a patella tendon tear that I received while competing at the Commerce World’s Strongest Man in China. I had only heard about PRP treatments and the great benefits that it could have on one’s injuries - that’s when I found Dr. Lundquist at Active Life Physical Medicine & Pain Center in Avondale, Arizona. To this day, I have received Orthovisc injections to both knees along with PRP. I have also received PRP treatments for muscle tears and other tendon tears that I’ve obtained while competing at World’s Strongest Man. I feel that without Dr. Lundquist knowledge in sports medicine and PRP that I would have had to have surgery. The PRP treatments have played a huge role in keeping me at an elite level. I have and will continue to refer other athletes for their injuries to Dr. Lundquist.” — Jerry Pritchett, 2x World Strongest Man Finalist

NeoGraft’s minimally invasive hair transplant procedure is a much more desirable option for both men and women as opposed to traditional hair restoration methods. The NeoGraft Automated Hair Transplantation system is a leading edge technology for men and women looking to restore their hairline using the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method to gently remove the individual follicles from the back of the head (the “donor area”) in their naturally occurring groupings of about 1-4 hairs.
Eclipse micro-needling: Is an innovation in aesthetics for the treatment of the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and the skin’s texture, tone and color. The skin’s repair process results in improvement of the appearance of softer wrinkles.
The follicles are then artistically implanted in the areas of the scalp where balding has occurred to complement the facial structure and current hairline, resulting in a discrete, natural looking hair transplant.
Growth factors are injected into the upper vagina, into an area most important for the sexual response, the O-Spot. Because these areas have been numbed with the anesthetic cream, the woman feels little or no pain.

Distinctions et een rohn s Disease and cerative o itis Inflammatory bowel conditions affect millions of people. Some of these conditions share symptoms, but may have certain distinctions that set them apart from one another. Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease are two conditions that are similar but not one and the same. As a result, only a doctor can properly diagnose each condition. The UCLA Center for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases says both colitis and Crohn's are characterized by inflammation of the digestive tract. Both diseases can develop at any age, but often occur in teenagers and young adults. They also affect men and women equally. Another similarity is that the causes of UC and Crohn's disease are unknown, although environmental, genetic and an inappropriate response by the body's immune system can be factors. To the average person, it may be difficult to figure out if they are suffering from UC or Crohn's disease because of these startling similarities. et, Healthline says there are important differences as well, which include the location of the illness in the gastrointestinal tract and the way each disease responds to treatment. Here's a look at what sets UC and Crohn's apart.
Crohn's disease may affect any part of the I tract mouth to anus . However, Crohn's is most often to blame for symptoms at the end of the small intestine, called the small bowel, and the beginning of the colon, or the large bowel. WebMD says Crohn's disease can affect all layers of the bowel walls. Those with Crohn's may have healthy areas interspersed with inflamed spots. Rectal bleeding or blood in stools is less common in Crohn's sufferers, and because it can impact more areas of the body, those with Crohn's may experience mouth sores, anal tears or infections. Crohn's also may affect areas outside of the I tract, including the skin, eyes, joints and liver.
Contrary to Crohn's disease, UC is confined to the colon and only affects the inner lining of the colon. Those with UC will have much more continuance to their inflamed areas with no interruption. Also, UC is more likely to produce blood in stools because it appears at the lower end of the large intestine. Febr

UCLA Health also says approximately 1 percent of cases of inflammatory bowel diseases exhibit the features of both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These are typically known as indeterminate colitis. Shared symptoms People with UC or Crohn's disease can expect to encounter one or more of these symptoms Cramps and pain Diarrhea Urgent need to visit the bathroom Diminished appetite Weight loss Fatigue ight sweats Symptoms may flare up and then go into remission. Doctors will use testing such as a colonoscopy or a CT scan to diagnose the right form of IBD. Even though there is no cure for these conditions, medication and lifestyle changes can help minimize symptoms.

Females undergo many different experiences thanks to their reproductive systems. From the start of puberty to the final stages of menopause, the female body goes through many changes, many of which are spurred on by hormones. ne condition women in their 3 s and s may face is the onset of heavy menstruation levels and or irregular bleeding. Menorrhagia is the medical term for menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding, offers The Mayo Clinic. Hormonal imbalances may cause the buildup of the lining of the uterus endometrium to develop in excess and eventually be shed in the form of heavy bleeding. Fibroids, dysfunction of the ovaries, polyps, cancer, and intrauterine devices all may contribute to heavier than normal periods. Heavy menstrual cycles can impact quality of life, particularly if they are accompanied by severe cramping and bleed-through. Doctors may recommend treatment if heavy periods soak a pad or tampon every two hours or less if menstrual periods last longer than eight days or if periods are accompanied with anemia from excessive blood loss, says Healthline. Typically, hormone therapy, IUDs, or medications are first prescribed to treat the problem. However, if these are not effective, a gynecologist may recommend a procedure called endometrial ablation. To understand how endometrial ablation works, it is first necessary to comprehend the basic menstrual cycle. Each month, a woman's body readies itself for the prospect of pregnancy. In addition to an egg being released to fertilization, the endometrium will build up in the uterus to provide a place for the fertilized egg to implant and develop. If no fertilization occurs, the egg and the lining will shed away and exit the body through menstruation. During endometrial ablation, a doctor will perform a procedure that will permanently remove the endometrium and prevent further periods, says The Mayo Clinic. The process varies depending on certain factors, but will begin with the dilation of the cervix to allow for the insertion of medical instruments. ptions to treat the endometrium
include electrosurgery, cryoablation freezing , hot fluid, heated balloon, microwave and radiofrequency. ovaSure Endometrial Ablation uses radiofrequency distributed through a netting inserted into the uterus. In many cases, women who have undergone endometrial ablation will gradually see their periods lighten, and some may stop altogether. The recovery time can take anywhere from a few weeks to months. ne of the risks of endometrial ablation is sterilization. Although it is not designed as a birth control method, endometrial ablation will make the endometrium unable to sustain a fertilized egg or a growing embryo, and miscarriage is likely, says Healthline. Therefore, women who are still planning to have children should not undergo the procedure. Those with uterine or endometrial cancer or other conditions may be precluded from having an ablation procedure. Apart from cramping, watery discharge and increased urinary frequency may occur after the procedure. Rare side effects include damage to the vagina, vulva or bowels. Women considering endometrial ablation are urged to go over all of the benefits and risks with their doctors. a hea thand i ing com

So many people go searching for their true love in nightclubs, singles clubs, through online dating sites and among friends of friends. The truth is, finding true love starts right in your own home or, more accurately, in your own heart. Before you can find true love in a relationship, you must find it within yourself. Here are three simple ways to attain true love for you, yourself, and your life as a whole. ou ll be amazed at how quickly romantic love will follow.
Learn to be thankful for the good things in your life. That will help you appreciate all the small things and give you a happier, positive outlook which, by the way, is very attractive. Be thankful for your mistakes, too. Everything in your life, both the triumphs and the stumbles, shape us as people. Mistakes are valuable learning experiences and, when viewed as such and appreciated, regrets and bitterness of yesterday will fade away. Peace and love will enter in to your life immediately
Forgiving is as much for you as it is for the person who did you wrong. For starters, when you can forgive others, you can forgive yourself. Some of us are harder on ourselves than anyone else would ever be. We need to be as forgiving of our own faults and misdeeds as we are other people s. Holding onto anger and resentment, whether it s directed at someone else or ourselves, robs us of opportunities for joy. Truly forgive whoever s hurt you you don t have to like them and fully experience happiness.

There are many more average days than holidays and vacations don t waste them Find satisfaction in your work, enjoy the process of doing a good job and learning new skills, and every day will be an abundance of joy.

At the heart of almost all patients problems are issues that stem from the family that raised them, which can create problems when raising their own families. Almost everyone deals with this to some degree or another. ery few families are idyllic. Forget Leave it to Beaver, normal families are more like, The Twilight one. Despite that, most people manage to lead happy, productive lives. nce you recognize the childhood baggage you carried into adulthood, you can take steps to compensate, make corrections and change how you raise your own children. Here are some qualities of a healthy family along with what you can do for what you missed or had short supply of as you were growing up Family is usually the one place and time in life that a person experiences unconditional love. If you did not receive that as a child, you likely have difficulty loving and valuing yourself. There is no substitute for loving yourself - this issue is the number one cause of unhappiness in adult relationships. The first step in healing is recognizing the damage and being willing to believe your feelings of unworthiness are not based in reality, but are the product of a deficit likely handed down through generations in your family. Listen to what you tell yourself if they are things like, I m an idiot and I am really messed up, change that selftalk. Words are powerful
p Individuals in the family are encouraged to develop their own personal identity and separate from the family while maintaining a role within it. The family supports and even cheers on individuals in their personal quests. Children who are not allowed the freedom to express and explore their identities may
become adults who develop co-dependent relationships wherein they put the needs of others before their own and or are dependent on the control of others. Ways to begin addressing autonomy issues as an adult include learning how to comfortably spend time alone, pursuing interests whether or not they are valued by friends and family , by taking classes, joining clubs and boosting self-esteem through positive self-talk. Parents are the keepers of the rules. They provide structure for children, both to protect them and to foster learning and growth. People who grow up with little or no structure may fail to offer structure to their own children or overreact and be too rigid. Provide structure and consistency by setting up routines that everyone in the family will be expected to follow daily, with occasional exceptions. These might include making your bed in the morning, daily chores, and a set dinnertime with everyone at the table as well as together time, such as a game night. a hea thand i ing com

p Is your house-hunting venture beginning to feel like an episode of Love It or List It ou and your spouse just can t agree on anything. ou want a home that s move-in ready. our spouse wants a fixer-upper. ou want a cozy home in the suburbs. our spouse wants a modern condo in the city. n the hit show that helps fed-up homeowners decide whether to renovate or sell their home, arguments between hosts Hilary Farr and David isentin can get heated and might resemble your own relationship with your spouse in the househunting process. Even after making such a decision, buying a new home can put the strain on any marriage. But as the hosts demonstrate, bickering about important home decisions doesn t have to be bad natured. As isentin said, What we re very skilled at is getting over arguments. ou and your spouse can take a page from the hosts book with a few simple tips to help resolve your own bickering and make house hunting a success. Here s how
Biting your tongue and pulling your Realtor aside to tell him or her in secret that you disagree with your spouse isn t going to help you. When you disclose to your spouse your thoughts on what kind of home you want, what your mostdesired features are, etc. and your spouse does the same, you re establishing a basis for which everything is out in the open. Arguments are always best resolved when each party feels that his or her thoughts matter. Being afraid of confrontation is worse in the long run. p Febr

p p Writing things down helps because you can read each other s checklists and find the commonalities. Sometimes, in the middle of arguing, you cannot for the sake of yourself find a reason to agree with your spouse, and having everything in writing can mediate the conversation. ou might just find that you agree on more features than you thought. Use your checklists to talk about what you visualize daily life would be like in a new home. This way, you re steering things more in the direction of a conversation, rather than an argument.
ne of the biggest disagreements married couples face when buying a home is how much debt to take on. y
B
Money, debt, finances all this talk surely can get any couple emotional and ready to argue. But really, there shouldn t be a reason to fight if you just look at the numbers. our mortgage payments should not exceed 5 percent of your take-home pay. So, when your spouse thinks you can take on a high mortgage payment for a dream home, just share this practical advice and leave emotion out of it.
p
Speaking of dream homes, it s important to note that more times than not, you won t find one home that fits all your desires. As marriage is about compromise, so is house hunting with your spouse. Compromise, and the understanding that you probably won t find that perfect home, can give you more reason to come to agreements with your spouse. At the end of the day, house hunting with your spouse can strengthen your marriage. Make sure you understand your spouse s thoughts and feelings, and that he or she understands yours, and you ll open the door to productive conversations ones that lead to you both sharing a happy not perfect home. Avoid the bickering, drama and resentment and just learn to work together and agree on what will truly make a happy home for the both of you, by implementing the above tips.

For many of us, the unwanted presence of facial veins and redness can be a nuisance and dampen our self-confidence. aricose veins, spider veins, rosacea and broken blood vessels are all types of skin conditions that increase the appearance of veins and redness on the face. Broken capillaries on the face typically cause red and apparent facial veins. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels that exist just below the surface of the skin and can break open due to a number of factors. Scrubbing your face too hard, overexposing yourself to sunlight without proper protection, and small facial injuries can all lead to broken capillaries and subsequent facial veins. For even the most careful individuals, facial veins and redness can still appear due to genetics, age and other unavoidable factors. Fortunately, today s medical advancements have given rise to a number of highly effective treatments for facial veins and hereditary redness conditions such as rosacea and facial telangiectasia. For example, sclerotherapy uses an injected solution to facilitate clotting in facial veins, which then turns them into microscopic scar tissue, which ultimately fades away. Laser therapy is also used to facilitate scar tissue formation via microscopic burning, which results in the disappearance of veins on the face.

The gallbladder is a storage place for bile which is a liquid produced in the liver. After eating fats, as your body begins the digestive process, your gallbladder contracts and pushes the stored bile into the common bile duct, which brings the liquid to your small intestine to aid digestion. allstones form when the liquid bile hardens and changes to hard pieces of stone-like material, which then can block the gallbladder from emptying or cause a blockage within the common bile duct causing symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, or what is often called a gallbladder attack.

Q Can s ee disordered breathing cause inabi it to concentrate in chi dren A. Sleep-disordered breathing in children can result from swollen tonsils and or adenoids, malocclusion misalignment of the teeth or swollen nasal passages. Children who suffer from sleep-disordered breathing do not sleep well at night. ften, they cannot enter REM sleep because they are unable to get into a deep sleep without their body forcing them awake when their airway becomes obstructed. As the body drifts to sleep, the airway relaxes. A healthy airway should not relax, but if the child has swollen tonsils or nasal problems, this relaxation can obstruct the airway and breathing causing the brain to wake up the body, resulting in excessive tiredness, and decreased concentration. Sleep-disordered breathing in children may manifest as strange positions while sleeping such as hanging their head off the edge of the bed or propping it up on pillows in order to be in the right position to breathe , overall crabbiness, headaches, difficulty waking, and or bedwetting. It may also manifest itself as trouble concentrating sometimes-serious conditions like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD . However, not every child who has trouble concentrating is automatically suffering from ADHD. Trouble concentrating can be caused by everything from immaturity to a short attention span. evertheless, diagnoses of ADHD have risen exponentially in the last few years, as has the prescription of such drugs as Ritalin. Sleep-disordered breathing is just another possibility to look at when trying to find the underlying cause of your child s inability to concentrate.

What if you could find out that you had CAD in time to possibly prevent that fatal heart attack ou can, by taking a simple test called a Coronary Artery Calcium Score.
During the Health Careers Institute, students explored more than different health professions, including learning about the magic of vision through an ptometry workshop, observing Physical Therapy in motion, and visiting the Anatomy labs to learn about the human body. In the lab, fascinated students teamed up to study the anatomy of a human heart, brain and lungs. They learned about the visible impact smoking and pollution can have on lung tissue, and variation in human heart size, and observed a high-tech ultrasound session to watch a real heart beating on screen. Based on the amount of calcified plaque that is detected on the scan, a score is given that will indicate the percentage of likelihood for having an acute coronary event in the next three years. This allows the scanner to synchronize with the patient s heartbeat and produce motion-free images. Special software is used to calculate the calcium score. The chlorophyll in wheatgrass helps produce sufficient quality red blood cells, which remove waste products from every cell in the body. The high level of antioxidants in wheatgrass like vitamins A, C, E, bioflavonoids, lutein, and other phytochemicals help neutralize cell damaging free radicals, which leads to disease. alentine's Day is an opportunity for couples to celebrate their love for each other, whether their relationship is relatively new or has endured through many years. The ational Retail Federation estimates that Americans are expected to spend close to billion on alentine's Day this year. While chocolates and Champagne are high on the list of most-purchased items for Feb. 1 , couples should not feel beholden to tradition on alentine's Day. This year may be the perfect time to try something new, even if it's out of couples' comfort zones. Here are some novel ideas for couple's looking to set their celebrations apart.
p Couples can take part in a growing trend this alentine's Day. At paint-and-sip events, people are guided step-bystep through the process of painting their own masterpieces. Breaks are provided through the evening to indulge in beverages and snacks of choice. Couples can bring along a bottle or two of wine and a platter of cheeses, chocolates or other alentine's Day fare. Those interested can inquire at their nearest paint and sip location, such as Pinot's Palette, for alentine's Day specials.
Couples who are naturally competitive or devoted sports fans can enjoy the evening by engaging in some healthy competition. Some restaurants host trivia nights, or couples can head to the nearest arcade and battle it out. Panic and escape rooms are cropping up in towns across the country. These employ -minute real-life experiences in which participants must solve clues to escape the room. This can be a great bonding experience for fun-loving couples.
Although some couples may dine out on alentine's Day, men and women who like to dabble in culinary arts can prepare their own meals from the comforts of their own kitchens. thers may want to enroll in classes that provide expert instruction from area chefs or culinary instructors. Febr

o to navigate o u ar s a treatments The desire for healthy, clean-looking skin drives the multibillion-dollar cosmetics and skincare industry. According to data from the Semi-Annual Consumer Insight Snapshot from DermStore, a leading skin care e-commerce website, percent of consumers surveyed are very or extremely interested in trying products for their specific skin concerns. The top five skin concerns across the United States include aging, uneven skin tone, sensitive skin, dark circles and sun damage. To address concerns about their skin, consumers are increasingly turning to in-spa services, such as facials, peels and fillers. A facial or body skin treatment can be a coveted gift this alentine s Day. However, navigating spa jargon can be tricky. Here are some popular services and what they entail.
A traditional facial typically begins with a cleansing of the face using steam to open up pores. This lets impurities clear out. Depending on an individual's skin type or concerns, a mild scrub may be used to exfoliate dead skin cells, dirt and oils. A hydrating mask or lotion will be applied to soothe skin after treatment.
p Chemical and fruit acid peels rely on various acids to exfoliate and peel off the outer layer of skin. The skin beneath is usually more smooth and less wrinkled. Some deep peels target the middle layer of skin to remove damaged skin cells. The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery says that peels can be used to treat anything from acne to aging skin to scars. Alpha hydroxy acid and lactic acid may be used in mild peels. Trichloroacetic acid, or phenol, is used for more potent chemical peels. Peels are best left to an aesthetician or dermatologist.
Masks may contain many different ingredients designed to treat various skin problems. A paraffin mask, for example, involves the process of applying molten warm wax over a thin mask. The wax will open pores and moisturize the skin. Masks are applied, and then there is a waiting period, during which the mask dries or penetrates. Then the treatment will be removed. Febr

In microdermabrasion, layers of dead skin are buffed. This dead skin may have accumulated due to age and sun exposure. Many spas employ a device that scours the skin using micronized aluminum oxide crystals. Similar at-home products use motorized spinning brushes that employ bristles to slough off skin cells.
p Many facial treatments also include some massage. With lymphatic massage, particular pressure points are targeted to release strain from tension headaches and may even reduce skin puffiness. Massaging the skin can promote blood flow and lead to a rosier, more youthful glow.
Injectable dermal fillers can soften facial creases, remove wrinkles, and improve the appearance of scars, says the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. These procedures are best left to professionals. Skincare treatments can be an ideal someone special.

Waxing is one of the more popular and effective means to removing unwanted hair on various parts of the body. Wax is applied and then quickly pulled away, and the unwanted hair comes with it. Preparing for a waxing appointment can make the session go more smoothly. Exfoliating can help remove a layer of dead skin cells and also dislodge any ingrown hairs. Exfoliating also can clean the area so wax can adhere properly.
p Before beginning a waxing session, test wax materials to see if there are any sensitivity issues or allergic reactions. Wait at least hours to see if any irritation develops. p Waxes generally come in soft and hard varieties. Hard waxes are primarily used for smaller areas of the body, including on the face, under the arms, around the ears and around the bikini area. This type of wax hardens when it is cooled to minimize pulling on the skin. Soft waxes are usually the choice for larger areas of the body, like the legs, arms and back. Soft waxes tend to be better at removing fine hairs. For wax to grab the hairs and remove them effectively, hair needs to be of a certain length. Most experts say that hair between 1 inch and 3 inches is ideal. However, a waxing technician can advise if hair is too long or too short for waxing.
p Expect discomfort after waxing, but know that such discomfort can be minimized. Experienced estheticians advise men and women to avoid alcohol and caffeine prior to an appointment. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever around an hour before an appointment may help. Some salons may offer a numbing cream. Also, women should avoid waxing directly before their menstrual cycles when discomfort can be heightened. azhealthandliving.com |Febr

ariety in business is generally good, but when it comes to profit and revenue, an entrepreneur s expectations should be fairly singular go big. therwise, you re probably selling yourself short. If you re a CE or entrepreneur and you do not plan on doubling your profit and revenue within the next three years, you may be lacking focus. It s within your grasp to increase your business drastically within a few years, but you need to make several smaller goals in order to do so. It all starts with a vivid vision.
et out of your office. A vision needs perspective, and if you re waiting for inspiration to strike at your desk or the boardroom conference table, you re bound to get dragged into the daily routine. ou need to allow your mind to drift into the future, but at the office you will get pulled back into specific constraints. o somewhere that allows you to forget metrics, daily tasks and obligations. reat locations to set your mind free include the ocean, a forest, or a place in the mountains. r, simply lie down in a hammock in your backyard and start sketching ideas.
p Computers are notorious for sucking you into the vortex of daily emails and tasks. Instead, put pen to paper. There s magic in just writing it all-out by hand first.
Look at the road in front of you. Don t focus on how you ll make it happen. The how mentality is sort of like trying to edit a first draft before it is written the where mentality allows you to simply get your ideas out first. etting out of your comfort zone will change your usual thought patterns and spark creativity. Think about crazy stuff maybe something too outlandish to share at a meeting or even consider seriously. Use a technique called mind-mapping, which isn t so much formal writing as it is plopping down random thoughts onto paper and fleshing them out later. Mindmapping allows you to brainstorm without having to provide explanations of strategies for achieving the desired goal. Here s a good rule if what you think about during one these sessions seems bizarre or unlikely, it s something you should definitely include in your vision.

Five Decorating Mistakes to Avoid to Enhance the Romance in Your Life Whether in the early stages of a relationship or looking for new love, there are a lot of things that people do that might derail cupid from doing his job properly. ne of those things is creating a negative design at home. Decor and style are important for first, second and even fifth impressions, so creating a home that is cupid-friendly is a must. If your love interest feels uncomfortable in your home, it s a sign to them that you might not be the right fit. Here are five decorating and design mistakes that you want to avoid if you want to be open to new love and romance
p While many single people embrace the notion of a luxurious bedroom, including a queen or king size bed, many haven t quite gotten there yet. They ve kept their single or double bed from years gone by, or worse, the futon from their school days. They push the bed up against one wall or into a corner so that there is room for only one bedside table and reading lamp. They create a space that is so uninviting to a second person that romance has little chance to flicker to life, never mind blossom. If you really want to make someone who is new in your life feel comfortable, everything about your home should scream couple. Seating for two, reading lamps for two and so on. If you ve only got one comfortable chair in your living room, this sends the message that you re not ready to share your space with someone, even on an occasional basis. Similarly, if you re set up for three or more, it can give the impression that you aren t interested in intimacy and would rather be surrounded by a crowd. It s fine to have extra seating if your home is big enough, but create intimate corners for quiet conversations too. Photographs of your friends and family, paintings by your favorite avant-garde artist, abuki masks from your last trip to apan whatever your passion is, you should definitely have some of it on display. After all, it reflects who you are and what you re interested in. However, having S ME on display does not mean that it has to be overwhelming and overdone. Leave some blank spaces, some open places that send the message that you re open to new people and new experiences. Do you avoid hanging Febr

pictures on the walls or buying new furniture because the sofa from your frat house days is just fine Do you still have boxes in the living room that you ve never unpacked and shelves made from milk crates All of these signs tell a person who is visiting your home that you aren t settled and aren t ready to settle anytime soon. ranted, decor and style aren t everyone s priority, but with just a little effort, a house can become a welcoming home. Proper window treatments, a throw rug or two, a sofa that doesn t look it s survived frat house armageddon A bedroom should be a restful, tranquil space. Except when it s not hint hint Whatever the bedroom is being used for, it should T be a place of work, or a place for catching up on late night television. Phones, computers they should all be somewhere else. Life is already crazy enough the bedroom should be an oasis to escape all of that. y

Although details of your legal and financial information are meant to be confidential, don t keep it a secret from your spouse or beneficiaries. Creating a personal document locator will guide loved ones to essential information when it is needed. The personal document locator is a detailed list of where you store important records and identifies your primary advisers and contacts. It may help provide access to benefits that may otherwise go unclaimed, reduce professional fees, and ease stress during a difficult time. Plus, you will have a convenient reference for all your important information, consolidated in a single location. This project requires you to face your mortality and will take some time. eep in mind that the more challenging this task is for you, the more valuable the document locator will be to your heirs. To start with, consider what documents are needed, where they are kept, and who should have access to them. First, create a list of important documents and check off the items that need to be included. At this point, don t worry about where the documents are located, just recognize the ones that apply to you. ext, identify and verify the location of the documents. This is the opportune time to review them to be sure they are current and to decide if you want to change where you keep them. When making this decision, consider privacy, access vs. security, timeframes, personal finances and liquidity needs. While you have your important documents in hand, consider scanning them and storing those images on a separate medium such as a thumb drive in case you ever need to replace the originals. This can be a great time to make copies front and back of credit cards, health insurance cards, driver s license, passports, etc. ot only does this create an inventory for your beneficiary or representative to work with, but can be useful if they are lost or stolen. There may also be insurance associated with some credit card and bank accounts. A letter of instruction is optional. This gives you the opportunity to name who needs to know and when they need to know it. This is not a legal document, it simply instructs the person you trust with your locator to give information as you direct. ou may consider appointing a legal and or financial professional to be the keeper of your document locator. role of this person is to provide access to your information based on your letter of instruction. A trusted friend or family member may fill this role as well.
This person should be able to store your information in a safe and secure location. They must be willing to participate to some extent in updating the information as needed. A professional will likely initiate an annual review. They will meet with your beneficiaries at the designated time. A person with some emotional detachment might provide more objective help. This is a very loving thing to give and receive. This is a terrific way to begin otherwise difficult conversations with parents and adult children. I encourage you to create the document as a gift to those who will settle your affairs and to enjoy the organization it brings to your own life. It s important to older people that they be able to remain independent as long as possible and not have to turn to their children to help. They just need to remember that careful planning is the route to accomplishing that. And one of the planning tools would be to help fund longterm care insurance for your aging parents to keep assets in their estates, so long-term care is not simply for yourself but for your aging parents.

Proper dental care and oral hygiene is essential at all stages in life, even for people who have dentures, partials or implants. People with dentures must recognize that oral hygiene protects their dentures as well as their mouths. According to the American College of Prosthodontists, 35 million Americans do not have any teeth, while 11 percent of the population requires the use of a complete denture. In addition, 5 percent of the U.S. population wears a partial denture. Removable dentures require care to keep them clean and in good repair. Servicing dentures also helps ensure wearers' mouths stay healthy. Follow these guidelines to keep dentures clean.
Dentures are strong, but they are not impervious to damage. Treat them with care while handling, being sure not to bend or damage any clasps when cleaning, and try not to drop the dentures. When handling dentures, Colgate recommends standing over a folded towel or basin of water for added protection.
False teeth need to be brushed, so don't trade in your toothbrush just yet. Brushing will help remove food deposits and prevent staining.
to clean the tongue, palate and cheeks. If you still have any natural teeth, use a soft-bristled brush to cleanse. Always rinse dentures before returning them to your mouth.
Dentists can advise how frequently to have dentures checked for fit and professional cleaning. Loose dentures can cause sores and infection, so it's best to address any issues regarding fitting promptly. Dentists also will inspect the inside of the mouth for signs of disease or irritation.
Remove dentures before going to bed and soak the dentures in warm water or special denture cleansers. Removing dentures for six to eight hours allows tissue inside the mouth to recover. Soaking helps to remove stains, bacteria and tartar. The Mayo Clinic notes that most dentures need to remain moist to keep their shape, so do not allow them to dry out.
Make sure to eat a well-balanced diet to keep the body and mouth healthy. Cut up hard foods like fresh fruits and vegetables if dentures are impacting your ability to eat these foods.
While dentures are removed, use gauze or a soft toothbrush
People of all ages rely on partial or complete dentures to maintain their smiles. Routine care is necessary to keep the dentures intact and mouths healthy. a hea thand i ing com | Febr
