"I did my research online for the practices in Arizona that offer varicose vein removal. I knew I wanted the EVLT treatment and wanted the procedure done by a Physician, not a cosmetic place. I narrowed it down to three Physicians and chose Dr. Sharma for his experience. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Arizona Vein & Laser Institute. Dr. Sharma is a wonderful physician. As he is performing the procedure, he explains what he is doing and is so concerned about making you feel comfortable. As for his staff, I cannot say enough good words. One thing I have learned in my lifetime is that your employees are only as good as you are. Dr. Sharma, you have a wonderful staff which says alot about you as an employer. I spent many office visits with them and every time they were pleasant, caring and professional. I was impressed by the way they worked as a team with Dr. Sharma. Thank you so much!" Joy A.

"I had called your office on a Monday morning to see if I could be fit in for an appointment as soon as possible because of a complication I had over the weekend. Being a new patient and never being seen at your office before it didn't matter because the woman who answered was not only kind, friendly and sypmathetic of my situation, but she was able to fit me in that very same afternoon. I have to say how incredibly impressed I was with the entire staff at this office but even more so with Dr. Sharma and Dr. Hecht. Their bedside manners are second to none. Thank you!" Scott Schrimp

Relief is right here in the West Valley Dr. Kukurin was named a Top Chiropractor by the Consumers Research Council of America. He is listed in Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare. With over 20 years of experience using acupuncture, chiropracticand science based nutritional therapies, the results produced by our methods have been featured on local TV newscasts, published in scientific journals, indexed in the National Library of Medicine and have been presented Knee Pain at medical conferences at Johns Hopkins and the Peripheral Nerve Society.
Diabetic Neuropathy, Peripheral Neuropathy Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, Plantar Fasciitis If you are suffering from lower back, buttocks and or leg pain or your feet or legs are cramping, numb or burning especially at night, you almost certainly have a condition which involves the nerves of the legs. The largest nerve in the body, the sciatic nerve (pictured in red to the right), starts in the lower back, runs through the muscles of the buttocks and down to the tip of the toes. If this nerve gets irritated, you can experience really terrible pain anywhere along the course of the nerve. You may also experience burning, numbness and odd sensations in your muscles. Irritation of this nerve may produce severe cramping or crawling sensations in your muscles. Of course, your back and leg pain can be caused by a pinched nerve in your lower back. This can be from a vertebra that is out of place, it can be caused by a slipped disc or it can be caused by spinal stenosis or any combination of these problems. Each of these conditions, bad discs, spinal stenosis or displaced vertebrae have very different treatments. Knowing exactly why you have your back and leg troubles is absolutely essential for effective care.
Headaches, Vertigo, TMJ, Migraines, Sinus Headache Neck and Shoulder Pain, Pinched Nerves, Tennis Elbow and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Spinal Stenosis, Sciatica, Lower Back, Hip and Leg Pain
So how do you find results? The answer is called Integrative Neurology. Neurology is the study of the nerves. This allows us to diagnose tough nerve conditions like spinal stenosis, disc problems and neuropathy. What happens next truly separates our integrative neurology approach from anything else available to help correct lower back, hip, leg and foot problems. We have pioneered techniques to decompress nerves, but also use a number of natural substances that have been shown in recent scientific studies to help nerves re-grow and repair. There are no current drugs that can do this. But that’s not all. We combine special electrical stimulation techniques with acupuncture. A combination that has been shown to correct abnormal nerve function and promote nerve repair. There simply is no better or more comprehensive system for diagnosing and correcting the cause of spinal stenosis, neuropathy and other conditions that cause lower back, hip and leg pain and numbness. To find out how we can help you or learn more about our award winning doctor and treatments, visit our website at www.kcpv.info or if you need help now, call us at You’ll be glad you did!

Welcome to our uly issue. As we celebrate this Independence Day, let us also not forget to give thanks for our eternal liberty that we find in od. Here are a few Bible verses to encourage the celebration of freedom, both spiritual and physical, this holiday.
or so is the will of od, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of od.
r st n
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
or the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of od. or the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of od.
ow the Lord is that Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. And I will walk at liberty for I seek thy precepts. I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart The Spirit of the Lord od is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our od to comfort all that mourn
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ esus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. or the law of the Spirit of life in Christ esus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. U il e i e Ha e a lesse a
But od be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Phoeni e cue i ion eci e or Succe Hel alley re i ent get ac on their eet The Phoenix Rescue Mission is dedicated to helping local men, women and children that are homeless or struggling with addiction and trauma find a fresh start. Through programs that are Christ-driven as well as focused on vocational development, Phoenix residents are finding not only sobriety but also purpose. Brandon Luciano came to Phoenix Rescue Mission in 016 after a relapse. I found myself feeling really low within a year I had lost my job, been diagnosed with an illness and moved to a new state, he says. I felt useless, and drinking just led to more negative thoughts, doubt, and depression. I knew I had to change. His father helped Brandon find the Phoenix Rescue Mission and he entered the 60-day program. After a few weeks, Brandon had the opportunity to step into a role in the organization s Mission Possible Caf . This, along with Mission Cookies and Mission Catering, serves as a training ground for the Phoenix Rescue Mission ood Service Manager s Training and vocational development programs. Designed to help get participants back on their feet, these programs provide practical skills in the food service industry and prepare people for the workforce, while also giving back to the community. I love the challenge of being in the kitchen and to help fill the immediate need of serving a delicious meal to those that show up hungry, says Brandon, who has been given the position of kitchen supervisor through his journey at
Phoenix Rescue Mission. ow when people arrive at the Mission, they are in unchartered waters like I was. I love to see them start gaining confidence in the kitchen and take on the challenges like I did. While Brandon had no formal chef training, he enjoys researching recipes, doing a lot of testing and shots in the dark, particularly with salsa for the Southwesternstyle restaurant. I ve created a house salsa that people really love and it s just been a blessing and opportunity to be in this environment, he adds. When Sheridan Hailes came to the Phoenix Rescue Mission in 017, she expected to get sober, but had no idea she would make or even need a total life transformation. Before I could authentically change my behavior, I had to change my heart and my mind, she reveals. Changing my behavior is a result of changing my thinking and changing my thinking is a result of changing my heart, my focus, and my will. I had to learn who I really am and what it is I really want in life.

Through the help of her sponsor with Phoenix Rescue Mission, Sheridan worked the 1 steps, completed parenting, anger management, and domestic violence classes, and received her Microsoft Office Certification. She also took advantage of the vocational track and received her ServSafe Manager Certification. However, she credits od and the Phoenix Rescue Mission for the changes in her life, saying, od equals recovery for me. Community, fellowship and being open and honest to myself and others is super vital. Sheridan served as a shift leader at the Phoenix Rescue Mission kitchen just a few weeks prior to the Mission Possible Caf s opening while she completed her ServSafe Manager courses. This provided a practical learning environment that would back up my new vocational knowledge. I worked in the back of the house kitchen directly involved in the development and execution in preparation of the food. Later, I worked in the front of the house as a cashier, barista and server you name it. If help was needed, I was there, she says.
Thanks to this experience, Sheridan now has a full-time job at a bakery, where she utilizes her vocational skills, and will be soon starting a new position as a restaurant manager for a local restaurant. Beyond uniting clients with Christ and helping them through their journey to recovery, the Phoenix Rescue Mission builds upon much needed skills and vocational knowledge. This training allows clients to re-enter the workforce and approach life with the confidence to tackle challenges through the grace of od.

pp Herbal remedies may be used to treat symptoms of many conditions and can often be a viable tool in an overall health plan. But there is a dearth of research evaluating the use of herbal medicines, particularly in clinical trial. However, The Mayo Clinic says about one-half of adults in the United States reports having used at least one dietary supplement in the previous month, though research indicates that only about 4 percent of people who take herbal supplements tell their doctors about it, even those who are taking a prescription medication. ust because a substance is naturally derived does not make it entirely safe to use in all instances. In fact, many herbs can interact poorly with other drugs. According to the article Use of Herbal Medicines and Implications for Conventional Drug Therapy Medical Sciences, published in 01 by researchers at the University of Texas and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, although many benefits can be derived from the use of herbs, potential areas of concern include possible product contamination and or adulterations, potential toxicity and high potential of known and unknown drug herb interactions. Herbal medicines are not standardized and monitored like prescription and over-the-counter medication, so safe use cannot be guaranteed. The information provided here should not replace the advice of a qualified physician. However, these are some known medication-herbal interactions that can occur.
Several popular supplements, including Coenzyme -10, St. ohn's Wort and Danshen, can interact with common heart medications. It is important to read how these herbs can interact with Warfarin, calcium channel blockers, anticoagulants, and digoxin, among others. Interactions can include everything from reductions in drug efficacy to increased risk of bleeding to irregular heartbeat, states the Mayo Clinic.

p Historically, goldenseal has been used for various health conditions of the skin, ulcers and respiratory infections. oldenseal is a potent inhibitor of liver enzymes. A 01 review from the ational Institutes of Health found that goldenseal has a high herb-drug interaction risk.
Herbal remedies may help people treat anxiety, insomnia and depression. ava and St. ohn's Wort are two herbs used for these conditions. There is some evidence that use of kava while taking C S depressants, such as benzodiazepines and sedation drugs, can increase risk of drowsiness and motor reflex depression, says IH. St. ohn's Wort has many documented significant interactions with oral contraceptives, coumadin, immunosuppressant drugs, and benzodiazepines, among others. Taking St. ohn's Wort in conjunction with other antidepressants can lead to serotonin-related side effects. Although herbs can be used successfully, caution is needed when combining them with other medications. They should be treated just as any drug and discussed with a medical professional or pharmacist prior to use.

Parents may feel relatively helpless when their children are in pain, unsure what to do to relieve their children's anguish. Some conditions can be difficult to diagnose in children not yet old enough to speak. or older children who can verbalize their aches and pains, it still may be challenging for parents to get to the root of the problem. Parents should always consult physicians when their children report feeling pain, but the following are some of the more common pain sources.
p Preteens and some teenagers go through a common condition dubbed growing pains. This can occur in children as young as preschoolers. rowing pains may be characterized by cramps, aches and muscle pains in the legs that tend to occur in the late afternoon or evenings, offers WebMD. The pain may be mild or intense, even interfering with the child's ability to get a good night's rest. Despite the name, there is no firm evidence that growing pains are actually linked to growth spurts. The Mayo Clinic says that growing pains usually cause aches or throbbing feelings in the front of the thighs, the calves or behind the knees. Overexertion or intense exercise, rather than growth, may be the culprit behind growing pains. Doctors may use -rays or other testing to rule out conditions that may cause pain. rowing pains generally resolve with rest, massage or a warm bath, and may stop occurring entirely within a year or two.
p There may be a number of causes of abdominal or stomach pain in children. Ki s Heal says one of the most common reasons for abdominal pain is constipation. Children who do not have regular bowel movements or find their stool is hard when passed may be constipated. Changes to eating habits can precipitate constipation, as can inadequate hydration. WebMD says about one out of three children is seen by a doctor for abdominal pain by the time they are age 15, but only a small number of these children have serious problems.
ood poisoning, appendicitis, gastrointestinal distress, and the preliminary stages of menstruation also may be at the root of abdominal pain. Concerned parents should have doctors rule out more serious conditions if pain is ongoing.
The ational Institutes of Health says that children are more likely than adults to get ear infections, which can lead to ear pain. The eustachian tubes in children's ears are smaller and more level than they are in adults, making it more difficult for fluid to drain out of the ear. If a cold or respiratory illness causes the eustachian tubes to get even more blocked, pain can result. ar infections are often a combination of fluid forming behind the eardrum and bacteria infecting it. The IH says that five out of six children will have at least one ear infection by age three. Children can experience pain for a variety of reasons, and any pain should be discussed with kids' doctors immediately. a hea thand i ing com

Simple Ways to Kick Bad Habits Breaking bad habits is seldom easy. But adults who commit to changing their ways can overcome even the worst of habits.
Bad habits run the gamut, from the relatively innocuous, such as biting one's nails, to the potentially deadly, such as smoking tobacco. As much as people may strive to avoid bad habits, few people may say they don't have at least one.
weeknights when they would otherwise be sitting at home watching television. Replacing something that's perceived as a negative habit or behavior with one that's considered positive can provide the motivation necessary to kick a bad habit.
A 2015 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll found that people tend to be more judgemental of themselves than others when it comes to bad habits. Nearly seven in 10 Americans admitted they judge themselves more than they judge other people. Men and women who are hard on themselves when it comes to their bad habits may want to try some of the following techniques to break those behaviors.
Figure out what's triggering your bad habit
Employ the buddy system Men and women who aspire to lose weight often stay motivated by exercising alongside a friend or family member and/or encouraging their families to adopt certain dietary changes. The buddy system also can be employed when trying to break bad habits. Whether a partner, family member or friend is trying to break the same bad habit or not, having someone along to praise your successes and discourage you from falling back into bad habits can make overcoming certain behaviors that much easier.
Try something new When trying to quit a bad habit, having something to do in its place can help. For example, men and women who want to spend less time staring at their devices or watching television can benefit from finding something healthy to do in the hours they would normally be spending online or on the couch. For example, adults may find joining a recreational sports league gets them out of the house on 32
July 2018| azhealthandliving.com
Another way to kick a bad habit is to understand what triggers it. Such an understanding can help people develop healthier reactions to the triggers, ultimately eliminating the bad habit. For example, if stress at the office compels you to smoke a cigarette, you can prepare healthier ways to respond to that stress, such as walking around the office, than heading outside to smoke a cigarette. When necessary, speak to a psychologist about identifying triggers if you cannot identify them on your own.
Educate yourself Adults with especially harmful bad habits, such as excessive alcohol consumption or smoking, may find all the motivation they need to change their behaviors by educating themselves. For instance, smokers may be surprised to learn that, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, more than 10 times as many American citizens have died prematurely from cigarette smoking than have died in all the wars fought by the United States combined. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism notes that excessive alcohol consumption over a long period of time can cause cardiomyopathy, arrythmia, stroke, and high blood pressure. People may recognize that smoking and excessive alcohol consumption are bad for them but learning just how bad might provide the spark they need to change their ways.

Sometimes referred to as talk therapy, psychotherapy is used to help people with a variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. One of the goals of psychotherapy is to eliminate or control symptoms that can adversely affect a person's overall well-being and ability to function. People who are skeptical of psychotherapy should know that hundreds of studies have found it helps people make positive changes in their lives. The American Psychological Association notes that reviews of these studies found that roughly 75 percent of people who enter psychotherapy show some benefit, while other reviews indicate that the average person who engages in psychotherapy is better off by the end of treatment than 0 percent of those who do not receive any treatment. The ational Institute of Mental Health notes that more than one-quarter of American adults experience depression, anxiety or another mental disorder in any given year. Psychotherapy may be considered to help people dealing with such mental illnesses. Mental health professionals use several types of psychotherapy to treat men and women in their care and may even combine elements from some of the following therapies to meet the needs of the people they're treating.

Confident children can grow up to become confident adults who are in better positions to reach their potential and find success. Parents can help their children build self-esteem that can benefit them throughout their lives. Children with healthy self-esteem may be confident to try new things, feel good about themselves and feel better prepared for life's challenges than youngsters with low self-esteem. Low self-esteem can lead to feelings of insecurity and doubt and encourage children to focus on the times they've failed rather than succeeded. The resource Ki s Heal also notes that low self-esteem may lead to kids being self-critical. While parents may think they can foster self-esteem in children by consistently praising them and telling them they are wonderful, experts disagree. According to im Taylor, author of the book, our ids Are Listening ine Messages They eed to Hear from ou, rather than layering on the praise, parents can help kids become more competent in their worlds, which will help children develop self-esteem in turn. at everything never raises the bar, potentially discouraging them from trying to achieve greater goals. When they venture into the real world, artificially praised kids may be in for a surprise. Parents also can boost self-esteem by giving children choices, which may help them feel empowered. Parents can facilitate age-appropriate choices, such as letting kids pick their own between breakfast foods or their own clothes that can gradually prepare kids for more difficult choices. Parents may be tempted to do everything for their children, especially if it is faster or if parents want to ensure a task is done correctly. But letting kids do things themselves helps them to learn new skills. ven if kids don't perform tasks perfectly, allowing them to do things themselves teaches them about approaching challenges, making mistakes and learning by practice. One-on-one with kids is another great way for parents to build their children's self-esteem. One-on-one time gives parents an opportunity to initiate discussions while giving kids chances to express themselves. One-on-one sessions provide opportunities to discuss problems or issues that may require some advice. nowing they have a voice and that their views matter can be one of the easiest ways to help children develop confidence and self-esteem.

Parents and educators can sometimes underestimate children's anxiety over the dawn of a new school year. Many students feel nervous when wondering if their teachers will be nice or if they will make new friends. These worries may be compounded by the return to routine and the end of an enjoyable period of rest and relaxation. In 015, C polled campers at a summer day camp outside ew ork City. The campers were elementary school students who were asked about what they were most nervous about for the return to school. Homework, tests, competition, greater expectations, grades, and making new friends topped the list of fears. To help students transition to the classroom with fewer worries, teachers and parents may want to initiate ice breakers and other stress-reducing interactions. Here are some ideas.
p Many schools will give out classroom assignments a few days before the first day of school. Parents can investigate who is in their child's homeroom and initiate contact with the parents of one or more of those students. Collectively, parents can make a buddy plan for students to arrive to school together and enter the classroom as a team. Coordinate clothing colors or have students wear another unifying symbol. This may allay fears and make the first day of school more fun. Students can craft school selfies on a piece of paper using a smartphone image template. This selfie illustration will give the class key facts about each student and present an interesting, creative and enjoyable way for students to get to know one another. Students may worry about teachers mispronouncing their names or using a full name instead of a nickname. Rather than a traditional roll call, teachers can encourage students to introduce themselves to classmates, using their preferential name and including a brief synopsis of their interests and what makes them unique. azhealthandliving.com |Ju y 2018

According to ational Health xamination Surveys, adult obesity trends in the United States between 1976 and 014 indicate the percentage of the adult population classified as obese has roughly doubled to more than percent in the last three decades. Children may be learning eating habits from their parents, potentially contributing to rising obesity rates in children as well. Recent findings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate one in five schoolaged children and young people in the United States is obese. Teaching children healthy eating habits starts at home and can extend to what students are given to eat while at school. The Center for Science in the Public Interest says schools across the country are working hard to improve school nutrition. Here's how parents and school districts can help make school lunches more nutritious and delicious and lower in calories. The U.S. Department of Agriculture says that more than one-fourth of kids' daily caloric intake comes from snacking. Choosing smarter snacks may help reduce overeating. ood snacks can include grain products that contain 50 percent or more whole grains by weight snacks in which the primary ingredient is a fruit, a vegetable, dairy product, or lean protein snacks that are a combination food that contain at least a 1 4 cup of fruits or vegetables and foods that contain no more than 00 calories. When selecting foods for school lunches, parents should read the nutritional information to make sure they know exactly what they are feeding their children. Select foods that are low in saturated fats and cholesterol and high in fiber and nutrient-rich fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes. Rethinking beverage choices can help control kids' caloric intake. Many people don't realize just how many calories beverages add to their daily intake. ven a six-ounce, 100-percent apple juice can include as many as 96 calories. Currently there are few effective treatments for dystonia, the most widely practiced treatment is the use of Botox to try and paralyze the unruly muscles.
It is a well-known fact that hearing loss is the third most common health condition behind arthritis and hypertension affecting Americans over 60. The importance of having your hearing tested is that we actually hear with our brains, not with our ears. When we have hearing loss, the connections in the brain that respond to sound are likely to reorganize themselves. ohns Hopkins researcher, Dr. rank Lin, says that, if you want to address hearing loss well, do it sooner rather than later. He recommends treating hearing loss before brain structural changes take place. Untreated hearing loss may result in serious long-term consequences to healthy brain functioning. It s been proven that hearing health is directly connected to our overall health and well-being. The ability to hear and engage more easily with the world around us delivers numerous tangible and intangible benefits. In recent surveys and studies, people who ve treated their hearing loss with hearing aids reported improved relationships at home, improved sense of independence, feeling more optimistic and engaged in life, improved job performance, and improved overall quality of life. – Dr. emanci app Ears earing enter 623.42 .0727

Q Can s ee disordered breathing cause inabi it to concentrate in chi dren A. Sleep-disordered breathing in children can result from swollen tonsils and or adenoids, malocclusion misalignment of the teeth or swollen nasal passages. Children who suffer from sleep-disordered breathing do not sleep well at night. Often, they cannot enter R M sleep because they are unable to get into a deep sleep without their body forcing them awake when their airway becomes obstructed. As the body drifts to sleep, the airway relaxes. A healthy airway should not relax, but if the child has swollen tonsils or nasal problems, this relaxation can obstruct the airway and breathing causing the brain to wake up the body, resulting in excessive tiredness, and decreased concentration. Sleep-disordered breathing in children may manifest as strange positions while sleeping such as hanging their head off the edge of the bed or propping it up on pillows in order to be in the right position to breathe , overall crabbiness, headaches, difficulty waking, and or bedwetting. It may also manifest itself as trouble concentrating sometimes-serious conditions like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD . However, not every child who has trouble concentrating is automatically suffering from ADHD. Trouble concentrating can be caused by everything from immaturity to a short attention span. evertheless, diagnoses of ADHD have risen exponentially in the last few years, as has the prescription of such drugs as Ritalin. Sleep-disordered breathing is just another possibility to look at when trying to find the underlying cause of your child s inability to concentrate.

Advances in the field of radiology have led to the combination of two imaging technologies into one exam, called the P T CT. The P T positron emission tomography CT computed tomography is a painless, non-invasive exam, that reveals information about the body s metabolic function, and exact location of metabolic activity occurring in the body, using advanced nuclear imaging techniques. During a P T CT scan, the patient is first injected with a glucose sugar solution that contains a small amount of radioactive material. The patient rests on a table that moves into a tunnel-shaped scanner. A preliminary low dose CT is performed, and then P T images are acquired. A P T scan displays bright spots where the radioactive tracer accumulates. These spots reveal higher levels of chemical activity and details about how tissues and organs are functioning. A P T CT allows these bright spots to be fused with the three-dimensional CT images so that the radiologist can pinpoint, precisely, the location of any metabolically active lesion s . P T CT is one of the most effective nuclear medicine procedures for detecting cancer, brain disorders, heart conditions and other diseases. Today, some imaging companies are going above and beyond the standard of care by offering the Ultra HD P T CT. This newly released unit provides features to enhance higher resolution image quality that can visualize smaller lesions sooner, to support a more accurate and earlier diagnosis. This innovative technology not only helps to improve patient outcomes, but also provides a faster scan with less radiation, and greater patient comfort.

The not Real Weddings Study, the largest survey of its kind, surveys thousands of American brides and grooms to determine the latest wedding trends. Couples are increasingly leaning on entertainment and personalization to create memorable experiences for their guests, and destination weddings are great ways to create those unique experiences. While planning a wedding inevitably involves some obstacles and even some stress, planning a destination wedding presents a unique set of obstacles. Before couples commit to a destination wedding, it's important to first consider a few factors to ensure knots get tied without a hitch. but one that works for guests, too . xchanging vows at a favorite hiking spot can give guests an inside view into what makes you tick as a couple, but the location of the ceremony should not come at the expense of practicality. Professional wedding planners
may prove invaluable when it comes to destination weddings. Rather than organizing everything on your own, you can hire a wedding planner to take care of itineraries, obtain information about necessary travel documents, coordinate with local vendors, and much more. Weather tends to be best during tourist seasons. Therefore, make sure to reserve hotel room blocks and venues promptly. Slightly before or after peak season may still be fine but ensure that vendors will be available and look into weather trends carefully before choosing a date. According to The

Handling many of the details while getting married close to home can be challenging, but doing so for a destination wedding can be difficult to organize. Scale back on DI , leaving many of the details to the professionals. Destination weddings require extra planning, but they can be memorable ways for couples to start their new life together.

Making the important decision to get married can fill couples with joy and excitement as they imagine spending the rest of their lives together. aturally, brides- and grooms-to-be are anxious to share the good news with others and include family and friends in the festivities. One way couples exemplify inclusion is by asking their closest acquaintances to be part of their wedding parties. Being asked to serve as a bridesmaid or groomsman is an honor. Some couples may be tempted to ask every friend, sibling or cousin they have to be in their wedding parties, and some do. In fact, ancient Roman law required 10 witnesses to be part of the wedding ceremony. However, the larger the wedding party, the more people couples have to coordinate and the more personalities they must manage. While large wedding parties are in style, there isn't any onesize-fits-all formula to decide which size party is right for a particular situation. Trends vary based on geography and culture. These tips can help couples decide on the size of their wedding parties.
p
Wedding planners may use a standard ratio for a proportion of guests to wedding party members. That ratio is one pair of wedding attendants for every 50 guests. This creates a balanced feel where the more
people in attendance, the larger the wedding party and vice versa.
p
Wedding party members may be asked to spend considerable amounts of money to be in the wedding, but the couple will have certain expenses tied to the wedding party as well. These can include limousines to ferry people between the ceremony and reception, photography costs to arrange and photograph large wedding parties, the cost of boutonnieres and bouquets, attendants' gifts, as well as extra mouths to feed at the rehearsal dinner. Small wedding parties can be easier on couples' budgets.
p Couples should discuss what they expect from their wedding parties. Do couples want their loved ones to be very hands-on or waiting in the wings or those who want a lot of input from their wedding parties, asking distant friends or family to be included may be impractical. p p Wedding party members should be people couples can rely on, and it only helps if wedding party members are not prone to overreacting. Choose a wedding party that can be trusted and people with whom you get along. a hea thand i ing com

Booking a live band for a wedding or another special event can be a great idea. The atmosphere live musicians can provide is unmatched. Live musicians offer a level of excitement that may not be met by other musical options. But some couples may find the prospect of booking live entertainment a bit challenging, especially if they've never hired musicians for an event before. Here are some tips to make the process go smoothly. Before booking vendors, seek advice from friends or family members who have recently gotten hitched or had live performers at their events. They may have wonderful things to say about particular bands or performers. Individuals also can consider a resource such as hirelivemusicians.com, a global musician database that can help couples narrow down their options.
p Live musicians can entertain guests throughout the ceremony and reception, but the longer musicians play, the more they're likely to cost. Work with musicians to develop a schedule that suits your budget. Make sure musicians understand the type of atmosphere you're hoping to create. A band that customarily plays swing or big-band era songs may not fit in at weddings with more modern themes. Musicians may have fees related to their agents, cartage extra given to musicians who carry large equipment , mileage costs, travel time, lighting, and other factors that affect the overall price. Discuss these fees before signing any agreements. Live musicians are great but not if the space is too small. Otherwise, the music can be too loud and overpowering, or the band will not have adequate space to set up. Consider these factors before making any decisions. azhealthandliving.com |Ju y 2018

The rising star continues to shine This month, nglish actress Lily ames stars in Mamma Mia Here We o Again. The highly anticipated musical debuts in theaters nationwide uly 0 and showcases ames in a central role the young Donna Sherdian, the character previously portrayed by the iconic Meryl Streep in the 00 original, according to Marie Claire U.K. The role is a chance for ames, 9, to impress in yet another popular film. Her previous big-name works include the films Cinderella, Baby Driver, and the Darkest Hour. When it comes to T , she has many roles under her belt, including the popular television series War Peace and Downtown Abbey. Lately though, ames has been making headlines for her romance with fellow actor Matt Smith. The couple is a favorite among entertainment publications. Both she and Smith have kept busy with their acting careers in recent years, according to an e s article. Last year, ames spent time in Croatia filming Mamma Mia Here We o Again with returning stars Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried. Recently, she spoke with Marie Claire U.K. about slowing down after several big projects. When you're an actor, it's like, ' ou've got to keep the momentum up.' And I'm like, ' o ' ames told the magazine. ou have to trust that things won't go away if you stop for a bit. I haven't really stopped, and I don't think that's a feasible way to work. or me, eventually, that's not the lifestyle I want. ou never really know where you are. That's not only with regards to my relationship with Matt, but with my friends and family. There's so much you miss. That's why I know I can't keep working at this intensity. I finish a job Matt starts one. During her impressive career, ames has played a variety of memorable characters on both the small and big screens. Last year, when speaking to about her role in the movie Baby, she reflected on the diversity of the characters she has portrayed. She told the magazine I so enjoyed doing scenes that were just more conversational and natural. I've done a lot of highly emotional stories, from books where there's huge peaks and troughs, huge emotional journeys. According to the Mirror, ames was prepared for stardom at an early age. Sadly, while she was studying, her dad passed away from cancer in 00 . Many sources say that she changed her surname to ames in honor of her dad. Drama school was a lifeline for me, the actress told the Mirror. I found it very nurturing I just clung on. Acting is also in her genes as several family members were actors and actresses. The piece of advice I d give my younger self would be exactly the same advice I d give to myself now, which is not to always feel like you have to be something, or try and hide what you are or how you re feeling, Lily ames told Harper’s Bazaar during a cover shoot. ust try and be what you are and be brave about that. ew people can make it through the dog days of summer without turning on their air conditioners. Men and women concerned about the environment and conserving energy may try to avoid using their air conditioners but doing so on especially hot days can be challenging and potentially even deadly. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that roughly 600 people die from complications related to extreme heat each year. Heat stroke can result when a body overheats after prolonged exposure to or physical exertion in high temperatures. The Mayo Clinic notes that the condition is most common in summer and that a lack of air conditioning during periods of sustained hot weather is a risk for heat stroke. Conserving energy during summer is a noble pursuit, but people should not jeopardize their health in an effort to conserve energy. Air conditioners might not be the ecofriendliest appliances, but there are ways to run them without wasting energy. The U.S. Department of nergy notes that central air conditioners are more efficient than room air conditioners, which are typically installed in windows. But central air conditioning systems that are not zoned may be cooling empty rooms overnight. Apartment dwellers may find window units less wasteful, while homeowners who can afford to install zoned air conditioning systems may rest easier knowing they are only paying to cool certain parts of their homes overnight. oned systems come equipped with programmable thermostats that homeowners can adjust when they go to bed, ensuring they won't be cooling empty living rooms and basements overnight. Wellmaintained central air conditioners will work more efficiently. Routine maintenance of air conditioning systems will ensure that systems aren't working harder, and therefore consuming more energy, than necessary to cool a home. The DO notes that using fans and air conditioners simultaneously is an effective way to circulate cool air throughout a home. Ju y 2018
a hea thand i ing com
By running both fans and air conditioners at the same, the air conditioners won't have to be run as long or as hard as they would if no fans were turned on. Because the dangers of heat stroke and heat exhaustion are so considerable, men and women should never keep their air conditioners off on hot days simply to conserve energy. inding safer alternatives to conserving energy on hot days can be just as effective and won't put consumers' health at risk. Unplug appliances that are not being used and prepare cold dinners so ovens that can make home interiors feel hotter won't need to be turned on. In addition, take advantage of the longer daylight hours in summer and keep lights off until the sun goes down. These are safe ways to conserve energy on hot days. Air conditioners can keep people safe during summer, and there are ways to use them and still conserve energy.

Statistics showed that in 017 4.6 percent of women graduated with a 4-year degree vs. .7 percent of men. This gap has been narrowing for years, and women finally surpassed men for the first time in 014. More women are making their mark and creating their trajectory for their futures. What this also means is that there will be more women entering this fresh new phase of their lives called a career. As a graduating female pursuing your career, you will find yourself receiving solicited and unsolicited interview advice from friends and family. Regardless of all of the wonderful advice you will hear about resume content, what to wear, and interview questions, there are other components of interviewing that can set you apart Let s face it - the internet is our way of life. We rely on it to shop, work, travel, check the weather and yes, find a job. veryone uses it, especially when looking for a job. Our first instinct is to go the computer and search popular websites like LinkedIn, Monster, and Ladders. I get it. I ve done it. These websites provide quick access to available jobs, salaries and requirements. xcellent for visibility to what is out there for you. But, upon attaching your resume and clicking the submit button there is a risk. ou risk getting lost in the shuffle of the hundreds or thousands of other candidates or perhaps going into sheer cyberspace. So, instead of going into cyberspace, or not having your resume reviewed at all, get creative and do something different network. etwork with other people, but without the computer. This is not rocket science I know, but people have gotten away from using themselves as their own best resource. The upside is that fundamentally people like to help people, especially when they are young, diligent and excited about pursuing their careers. Person to person networking will help you gain momentum in your job search in a flash. Sound overwhelming eep it simple. Make a list of 10 people you know who have careers you admire and then, wait for it CALL them. mail is great too, but emails are commonplace and can be easily ignored. So, do something different. When you get them on the phone, let them know you are in the market and looking for the first springboard job into your career. Ask if there is someone at their place of work you could speak with or is Ju y 2018

The value of a thank you is so overlooked these days. As simple as this seems, people in general are so fast-paced now they don t take an extra moment to thank someone. In your interview process, after meeting with someone, instead of logging onto email to send a thank you message like everyone else, take a moment and hand-write it. Again, this is an area where email is predictable. veryone expects an emailed thank you message nowadays, so writing a personal note will differentiate you from the rest. And, don t save the thank you notes just for those you have interviewed with, write them to people who have helped you in the process. Hiring managers and potential colleagues will appreciate that you took the time to think about your interaction with them. They will always remember you as the person that went the extra mile.
p Potential employers will look you up on acebook and Instagram just to see what you are portraying to the rest universe. Previous to graduation, look at all of your social media outlets and clean it up before you begin to interview. Cleaning up means removing any risqu photos, foul language, or anything else that would make a potential employer pause. ven if you have your social media on a private setting, all it takes is someone who is connected with you and a quick screen shot to transmit what you really don t want others to see. In this crazy interview environment of competition, process and stress, give yourself a signature statement that will make you stand out. Wear a bright orange shirt with your interview suit or wear unique glasses to each interview. mployers will remember you and associate you with the signature item. This is also a chance to show your personality, thoughtfulness and creativity. Regardless of your market, a hiring company will appreciate that you want to leave your mark. While making the interviewing rounds you will most likely be seated in front of other employees for additional interviews in the office. The purpose of this is for everyone to get a beat on you to see if you are right for the team. This is completely normal. During these additional meetings, be consistent with your content and character with everyone. I know this may sound elementary, but this is important because these same people will compare notes on you. Simple rules are be present, don t get pulled away by your phone, don t discuss your personal life. Displaying professional etiquette and respect for those around you will go a long way. This is your time to shine and show off all of the wonderful reasons an employer should hire you. Be authentic, thoughtful, professional and prepared and you will succeed. And most of all, remember how special you are. After all you are history makers.

Despite affecting roughly 10 million people worldwide, Parkinson's disease, a neurodegenerative disorder, remains a mystery to many people. To people outside of the medical field with no personal or family history of Parkinson's, the disease may only ring a bell because of some notable names attached to it. The late Muhammad Ali and actor Michael . ox are two household names that made their Parkinson's diagnoses public. But even those who study Parkinson's for a living do not know everything about this puzzling disease. According to the Parkinson's oundation, the cause of Parkinson's disease is largely unknown. While there's no cure for the disease, various treatment options can help those diagnosed with the disease live as normal and productive a life as possible. The P notes that understanding the disease and its progression is the first step to living well. Though the foundation also notes that people first start experiencing symptoms later in the course of the disease, learning to recognize some early symptoms may compel people to seek treatment. Many people might experience shaking after a vigorous workout or when they are dealing with stress or injury. But the P notes that a tremor in a finger, thumb, hand, or chin while at rest is a common early sign of Parkinson's disease. Handwriting can change as people age, especially if they are experiencing stiffness in their hands or their vision is deteriorating. But micrographia, a disorder in which handwriting becomes abnormally small and cramped, is another early indicator of Parkinson's disease.
The P advises people who are having trouble smelling foods such as bananas, dill pickles or licorice speak with their physicians about Parkinson's disease. Temporary loss of smell due to something like the common cold, congestion or the flu is not an early indicator of Parkinson's. Ju y 2018 a hea thand i ing com

A significant other may notice their partner moving suddenly during sleep, and such movements may be indicative of Parkinson's. The P notes that periodic tossing and turning is normal, as is quick jerks of the body during initial sleep and in lighter stages of sleep are common and should not be mistaken for Parkinson's. Stiffness related to current or past injuries or even arthritis is not indicative of Parkinson's. But stiffness in the arms, body and legs that is unrelated to injury or arthritis and does not go away with movement might be a sign of Parkinson's. The P notes that people sometimes describe this symptom by saying their feet feel stuck to the floor when they try to move.
p People who strain to move their bowels might be showing an early sign of Parkinson's. However, various factors, such as dehydration and a diet without adequate fiber, can cause constipation. In addition, men and women on medication may want to look into side effects of their medications to determine if their medicine, and not Parkinson's, is the cause of their difficulty moving their bowels. These are just a few potential early indicators of Parkinson's disease. Information about additional symptoms is available at www.parkinson.org.

Aging men and women often take inventory of their lives in an effort to focus on activities or lifestyle changes that can ensure happy retirements. Data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows there are some 76 million baby boomers those people born between 1946 to 1964 - across the country. With the youngest of the boomers in their mid-50s and the majority having already reached retirement age, many boomers are trying to decide if it's time to move out of their family homes and into smaller, more manageable abodes. Many older adults find they do not need the same amount of space as they did when they had children living at home. Retirees and those on the cusp of retirement may find that downsizing is a smart financial move that frees up more time for recreation. However, it can be challenging to cut down on living space and then deal with figuring out how to make furniture, belongings and stored items fit in more condensed areas. Moving can be stressful even without having to cut down on prized items. Taking an inventory of belongings can help the process go smoothly. Before moving, men and women can go room by room, making piles of items that will be kept, donated, sold, or discarded. This can be a tedious task, but it is necessary to avoid clutter in a new home. People downsizing can attempt to sell items they do not need via newspaper classified sections or online classified sites. Appliances and furniture in excellent shape may fetch good prices. Any extra cash can be put toward buying new items that are size-appropriate for the smaller home. Another way to clear out clutter is to sort duplicates from the stock of items. A person may no longer need multiple sets of dishes or silverware. If the move involves switching from a king-sized to a queen-sized bed, donate or trash bed linens that will no longer fit. Pay close attention to kitchen and bathroom items, which tend to accumulate over time but might not be discarded when clearing a home of clutter.
People moving from a detached home to a condominium or a townhouse may learn that homeowner's association fees cover everything from snow removal to lawn maintenance to pool upkeep. If so, it's unnecessary to bring lawn and garden supplies. Homeowners are advised to look at the floor plan of their new dwellings and pay attention to storage space. This can make it easier to plan ahead for what may fit, what will need to be purchased new and which storage solutions may be needed. Having a plan in place can make unpacking and settling in go smoothly. The organizing company Organize Me says that homeowners should consider how cabinets and closets will be used before moving in. Downsizing can free up time and money. When done right, downsizing can make retirement easier and create more leisure time for retirees. a hea thand i ing com | Ju y 2018
