* Design for Barnard & Westwood Universal Greetings Card
AIM
When looking at this brief my interpretation of it was to create a innovative greetings card that could be universally used across all occasions, events and situations. Whilst doing this it would have to be in keeping with Barnard & Westwoods branding and should demonstrate how you can use the printing/proccesses available to help communicate your message in a way that will help it stand out from the crowd thanks to the expertise and skill available at B&W. Therefore when looking at how to do this I was interested with using die cutting to create another layer of the greetings card. This would make it more interactive amongst the viewer and help engage and make Barnard & Westwood a memorable company when it comes to printing and bookbinding.

DESIGN / CONCEPT
To do this made the front cover fully interactive by die cutting these right angular shapes out of the paper so that they are still foldable as seen in the picture on the left. I then repeated this so there is a sort of grid like structure occuring meaning that the viewer/customer can create their own custom front cover within the constraints of the grid. By doing this the greetings card can be used for all occasions and can be personalised whilst mainting a proffesional look and feel. Another aspect of this deisgn is that the greetings card folds out so it is 3 times the length of the card and the middle of it is where the cutsomer can fill in the information. i.e. To... From... etc. The bottom section of the net is where the gold printed block of colour will be placed so that the front cover can have the intended effect.
