STUDENT SUBMERSION

Sikkel has maintained a productive research program by integrating undergraduate and graduate students at each step, beginning with field data collection and completing projects through the dissemination of results. Sikkel’s research focuses on how environmental changes in coral reef systems impact the interaction between coral reef fishes and their parasites off the coasts of four different continents.

Professor Sikkel named the species after Jamaican reggae artist Bob Marley because of his respect and admiration for Marley’s music.
