The Norm Hotel - GRAD PROJECT 2016
Everyone has a hotel story. It may be a hotel they had stayed in, read about or seen in movies. The question is what would a Vancouver hotel story be? The Norm provides a styled and affordable hotel experience for the millennial generations that are coming in and out of the city. The hotel showcases innovation by building with wood modules and displaying local artworks and informations through augmented reality. The result is a space that combines the private and
public realms. The private is the micro-unit wood module rooms with all necessity built in prefabricated. The public would be the pop-up shops and media façade that encourage diversity by allowing a platform for interactions at an urban scale.
