Metal Roofing and Cladding Association Awards of Excellence 2020 & 2021

The Metal Roofing and Cladding Association of Australia (MRCAA) conducted its Awards of Excellence for 2020 & 2021 on Friday 13 May 2022 at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney with 440 in attendance. Twenty two Contractor Members submitted 253 Entries over the 17 categories. The judges commented on the outstanding craftsmanship being undertaken by members.

The Master of Ceremonies this year was the well-known comedian and compere Mikey Robins. The Rex Blackwell Award – MRCAA Excellence in Roofing Award was awarded to Sterland Roofing and Cladding. This is awarded to the entrant who the judges consider exemplify the high consistent standard in their entry / entries. The Apprentice of the Year was awarded to Joint Winners; Brenden Downton from TAFE NSW Coffs Harbour and Larry Stricker from TAFE NSW Gymea. Brenden Downton is a business owner working for himself and Larry Stricker is employed by Roof Tek Roofing. Congratulations to the Entrants and Winners – you are all a credit to the Roofing Industry.
