1. Centre of Excellence, Ahmedabad Offices, 2500 sqm, INR 300 million (Phase 1) Material: Fibre Reinforced Polymer and Steel Green Rating: Platinum (Pending for approval, Indian Green Building Council) Professional Works/ Project Architect-BIM Specialist / Team of 2 / 2018-2021 Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Revit, Rhino, Lumion The 'Center of Excellence' is part of a comprehensive master-plan for the site including management offices, product display areas, research and public areas addressing the client's building requirements. The project is designed as a hexagon with porous structure, allowing for the existing forest to remain and invade the spaces. The hexagon is further divided in hexagonal cells, recalling the idea of tessellation. The trusses follow the same pattern, making it a wholly singular network. Each hexagonal cell has a covered area of 1250 sqm. My Role in the project Acting as the Project Manager, with a small team of 2 people, I was personally responsible for designing and research, coordinating with engineers, client, PMC. I prepared construction documents, released tenders and fabrication drawings using Revit.

FRP cable trays designed to run across the trusses to carry services.
FRP extrusions are used in making truss's Top chord and Bottom chord.
FRP Fanstack (usually used for making cooling towers) is fashioned into a lampshade to cut direct light.
Building with FIBRE REINFORCED POLYMER (FRP) Each structure uses FRP cooling towers for skylights, louvers for facade shade, C-sections and pipes for the principle trusses, and FRP cable trays for internal servicing.
FRP hollow pipes are used as verticals of the trusses

2. ‘DIA/BIM Edition 4, Dessau (Germany) Position: BIM Coordinator Master of Architecture/ 1st Semester/ Cad Logic Elective Software used: Revit, Enscape, Google Sheets+Drive #Rhino2Revit2Endscape
This course was about the digital revolution and its power to disrupt architecture as a process, as well as a product. In DIABIM we covered Building Information Modelling, the state-of-the-art methodology for information exchange in architecture. Practically: architect's way to design, model, build and work together with other professionals. Bi-weekly Theory classes provided the disciplinary and professional background to understand BIM. In-between, bi-weekly Hands-on sessions are meant to live experiment with Autodesk Revit - working together as a one-team practicing the BIM methodology. My Role in the project Appointed as 'BIM Coordinator' in the first semester and 'BIM Manager' in the second semester with responsibility of coordination and assessment of quality & work progress in the class.

3. Sports Complex, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, India Instituitional, 20,000 sqm, INR 2.2 billion Material: Steel framework, Precast Hollow core concrete floor slabs and Exposed clay bricks for Facade Green Rating: Platinum (Indian Green Building Council, approval pending) Professional Works/ Project Architect-BIM Specialist / Team of 4 / 2020-2022 Software used: Revit, Twinmotion To cater the extra curricular needs of growing no of students in OPJGU, a sports complex was designed, which was inspired from the steel studded facades around. The track design around it was conceptualised after an indian stool typology made out of bamboo, Moora. It envisions vast spaces for Multipurpose hall, Swimming pool, Shooting range, Squash courts, Gymnasium and other ancillary services. The project was positioned over existing swimming pool and service areas. The building main block forms a square foot print encircled by a runing track. My Role in the project I was involved with the project from Concept stage as the Project Architect / BIM Specialist. With a team of 4 people, I looked after managing revit model to generate complete set of tender and construction drawings, making fabrication drawings, coordinating with engineers, client & PMC. I continued to work on this project remotely along with my post graduate studies in my part time as an Architect.

SPA DESIGN PVT.LTD. Date: 13/12/2023
Letter of recommendation for Mr Nikhil Jain, Architect. This letter is my personal recommendation for Nikhil Jain. Nikhil has been under my employment at SPA Design Pvt. Ltd. and has been working with me since March 2013. I have seen him grow from a fresh graduate to an architect with commendable skills and the ability to handle projects on his own. He has served as a key player in several projects in the last seven years. In the first two years of his employment, he was involved as a project architect in the extension of academic block and 3 separate student housing blocks in the OP Jindal Global University. He worked using precast technology and steel structures. I was impressed with his patience and skills in learning and execution. He was a crucial part in the inception and building process of the Shiv Nadar School in Faridabad. Simultaneously, he has been involved in several competitions and concept design stages of other projects in the office. His contribution has been remarkable in research and designing with FRP as a structural material for ‘Centre of Excellence’, Ahmedabad, India. I find him to be consistently pleasant and tackles all assignments with dedication. He has a good work ethic, is fun-loving and his interpersonal skills are appreciated by everyone who works with him. He has proven to be a good leader, especially with the young interns at the workplace. He is an avid learner, has the ability to adapt, and has been at the forefront of exploring new software in the office amongst his colleagues. During his tenure, we have seen an increase in the quality of work produced by the office and we have grown considerably in our BIM modeling and visualization division. He has been an asset to our company and has proven to be trustworthy and reliable in delivering a completed project on schedule, with the requisite design constraints in a very professional manner. On completion of his Master’s Degree from Hochschule Anhalt (Germany), recently, he went on to be amongst the top three winning teams of the prestigious Europan -17 competition, where they proposed project '(re)sources’ along the Risle and Charentonne valleys in France. I highly recommend Nikhil for further employment in your organization. I’m confident that he would make a great asset to any organization.
