Day 1
TRAVEL TO COLOGNE AND EMBARK A-ROSA SILVA DEPART 18.00
Fly to Cologne, or travel by rail with Eurostar and transfer to your ship. Tonight, enjoy an included welcome dinner.
Day 2 LORELEI VALLEY, RÜDESHEIM AND MAINZ
The Lorelei Valley is exactly what many people picture when they imagine cruising the Rhine – so this morning’s scenic sailing is sure to be a real highlight of your experience. Arrive in wine-growing Rüdesheim at 11.00 and explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll depart at 17.00 and arrive in Mainz at 19.00. Spend an evening wandering the cobbled streets of the Old Town, with half-timbered buildings housing cosy bars.
Day 3
MAINZ, LORELEI VALLEY AND LAHNSTEIN DEPART 11.00
Discover Mainz, with its impressive Gutenberg Museum named after the inventor of the printing press. Sail downstream through the beautiful Lorelei Valley to the scenic town of Lahnstein at the confluence of the Lahn and Rhine Rivers. Arrive 16.00. The ancient ruins at Lahneck Castle, Martinsburg Castle and St John’s Abbey provide a dramatic backdrop. Depart 23.00.
Day 4
COCHEM ARRIVE 09.00, DEPART 17.00
The first stop on the Moselle is the stunning town of Cochem, a rural riverside town with colourful, timber-framed houses presided over by the fairytale Reichsburg Castle set amongst rolling hills.
Day 5
MEHRING (TRIER)
ARRIVE 09.00, DEPART 24.00
Today, explore Trier, Germany’s oldest city founded by the Romans in 15 BC. Trier’s incredible UNESCO-listed roman gate, Porta Nigra, is a real highlight. So, too, is the Trierer Dom – Germany’s oldest Cathedral.

KOBLENZ

Cruise through beautiful riverscapes to Koblenz where the mighty Rhine meets the Moselle. Here, explore the historical Old Town. Tonight, enjoy an included farewell dinner.

Day 2 RÜDESHEIM
ARRIVE 11.00, DEPART 18.00
After a morning sailing on the scenic Upper Middle Rhine we arrive at UNESCO World Heritage Rüdesheim which has for centuries been renowned the world over for its outstanding wines. Among its highlights is the Drosselgasse, an alleyway filled with quaint half-timbered taverns.
Day 3
GERMERSHEIM (SPEYER)
ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 19.00
Today, we sail through the historical heart of Europe with picture-perfect sights, terraced vineyards, expansive forests and high peaks. Spend the day in the relaxed riverside town of Germersheim or opt to travel to nearby Speyer, once centre of the Holy Roman Empire.
Day 4 BREISACH
ARRIVE 11.00, DEPART 24.00
Perched on a steep cliff above the Rhine, pastel-hued Breisach is set in rolling vineyards. The area marks where the Black Forest spills into the Alsace. Take an optional guided walking tour including a visit to a local champagne cellar with tastings.
Day 5 BASEL
ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 19.30
