TULCEA & THE DANUBE DELTA, ROMANIA ARRIVE 05.00

We arrive in Tulcea, the last port before the Danube flows into the Black Sea. Take an optional excursion by boat exploring the spectacular Danube Delta, the UNESCO protected Biosphere Reserve, home to Europe’s largest pelican colony, and some 5,200 plant and animal species. This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Day 10

OLTENITA, ROMANIA (FOR BUCHAREST)

ARRIVE 14.00, DEPART 16.00

From Oltenita, choose an excursion to the Romanian capital. There is much to discover in the ‘Paris of the East’, including the enormous Palace of the Parliament.

Day 11 - Cruising the Danube

Spend a leisurely day enjoying the ship and the ever-changing river scenery.

TURNU SEVERIN, ROMANIA

ARRIVE 05.00, DEPART 12.00

Perhaps visit the Iron Gates Museum in Turnu Severin this morning, prior to passing through the spectacular Danube Cataracts in the afternoon. Here, the river is narrower and framed by dramatic cliffs towering over either side of your ship.

NOVI SAD, SERBIA ARRIVE 12.00, DEPART 18.00

Enjoy Serbia’s second-largest city with a charming Old Town and the Petrovaradin Fortress.

14 MOHACS, HUNGARY ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 10.00

After a short customs stop in Mohacs, cruise upstream soaking in the river landscapes from the comfort of A-ROSA FLORA.

BUDAPEST, HUNGARY ARRIVE 01.00

Enjoy a full day and evening to explore Budapest where we stay overnight. Take an optional excursion and discover the famous castle, parliament building and lively central district or amble easily from the ship’s central mooring location.

Day 16 - Cruise to Vienna

DEPART BUDAPEST 08.00

A day cruising the Danube towards Vienna.

VIENNA, AUSTRIA ARRIVE 08.00

Uncover Vienna’s treasure trove of museums, galleries, palaces and castles, plus the state opera and many theatres. The famous coffee houses offer a chance to relax in elegant surroundings imagining the lively conversations held here in years gone by.

CRUISE THE WACHAU VALLEY, AUSTRIA DEPART VIENNA 07.00

The stunning scenery of the Wachau Valley is best enjoyed from the sun deck. Tonight, enjoy an included farewell dinner.

DISEMBARK ENGELHARTSZELL ARRIVE 07.00

Disembark after breakfast and be transferred to the airport for your return journey to the UK. Alternatively, add a few extra days in Munich - ask for more details.

Fly to Munich, transfer to Engelhartszell and embark A-ROSA FLORA for your 14-night cruise. Tonight, enjoy an included welcome dinner.

Cruise through the scenic Wachau Valley to Vienna. Explore the city of waltzes, ‘coffee and cake’, elegant arcades, grand buildings and palaces. The fabulous Schonbrunn Palace should be on your list here with its exquisite gardens and opulent baroque beauty.

Stay in Vienna tonight and soak up the city’s atmosphere after the sun has set. You will have a full day here the following day, head to the nostalgic Prater amusement park for a ride on the gigantic wheel or take a horse and carriage through the atmospheric centre.
