Day 4&5 BUDAPEST

ARRIVE 14.00, DEPART 22.00

Another overnight stay and full day await, this time in the ‘Pearl of the Danube’, Budapest. Discover the city easily from your central mooring location on the river. Visit Fisherman’s Bastion for panoramic vistas and the city’s iconic Szechenyi thermal baths for a relaxed dip. Have a local beer in one of the famous ‘ruin’ bars and take in the postcard-perfect views of the spectacular Houses of Parliament perched on the Danube’s waterfront.

Day 6

KALOCSA AND MOHACS

ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 16.00

After a short stop in Kalocsa, famous for the production of paprika, cruise to pretty Mohacs, with its quaint alleyways and ornate squares.

Day 7&8

BELGRADE

ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 23.00

Discover Belgrade, a gem of a European capital city. There is much to see, including the Kalemegdan Fortress, Kalemegdan Park, and the vibrant riverside area.

Day 9

CRUISING THE DANUBE CATARACTS

For many, the highlight of this cruise is the chance to sail the dramatic stretch of the Danube known as the Iron Gates. Here, the mighty river is forced between the narrow passage separating the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains, wrapping the ship in spectacular scenery. Stories and legends abound.

Day 10

NOVI SAD

ARRIVE 08.00, DEPART 20.00

Enjoy Serbia’s laidback second city. Dubbed ‘the Athens of Serbia’, there’s a huge amount of life, history and culture waiting to be discovered here. Take a seat in one of the pavement cafes for a local coffee and snack, stroll through pretty parks and check out the incredible Petrovaradin Fortress watching out across the river.

Day 11

MOHACS

ARRIVE 10.00, DEPART 11.00

After a short customs stop in Mohacs, cruise upstream with a day dedicated to relaxing and enjoying the ship.

Day 12&13

BRATISLAVA

ARRIVE 18.00, DEPART 20.00

This evening enjoy an included highlight culinary experience on board. The next day discover Bratislava on an included guided city tour visiting the Gothic St Martin’s Cathedral, and several of the city’s splendid baroque palaces.

Day 14

WACHAU VALLEY AND MELK

ARRIVE 12.00, DEPART 16.00

Admire the beautiful scenery of Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as you cruise to the picturesque town of Melk, and the famous 11th century abbey. This evening, enjoy an included farewell dinner.

Day 15

DISEMBARK ENGELHARTSZELL

ARRIVE 07.00

Disembark after breakfast and be transferred to the airport for your return journey to the UK. Alternatively, add a few extra days in Munich - ask for more details.
