Depart for Osaka to discover the Chikatsu Asuka Museum. Built near a unique excavation of ancient burial mounds, the museum is a wonderful example of Tadao Ando’s ability to harmonize and integrate with the natural landscape. Food is a great source of pride among Kansai residents, Osakans in particular, and today’s lunch will feature local specialties. En route back to Kyoto, stop at the Ryoan-ji and Kinkaku-ji temples, which served as inspiration to Noguchi. Return to Kyoto for a traditional kaiseki dinner.
