Creative Town just turned 1 year!

We officially opened our doors on August 7th but due to COVID we had the opening celebration in September. So here we are, celebrating our first year!

What you can find at Creative Town?

It seemed like a crazy and bad idea to pursue this dream in such uncertain times, but we were convinced that this was exactly what we need to motivate and support female entrepreneurs. us at Creative Town. Thank you Donna, Dorangela, Winnie, Anwesha, Gerard, Juan, Martijn, Thomas, Sara, Marcela, Sud, Melissa, Mike, Ceren, all Gaby’s, Chitra & Henriett.

It was certainly a difficult time- we moved from excitement and happiness to worry, then to fear and desperation, and finally when we could open again we felt hope. However there was something that never changed; the support from not only the members of our community but from friends, neighbours, partners from projects, and families.

Today, more than ever, we want to say thank you to all of you for helping us to keep our dream alive, and especially thanks to the volunteers who helped But What is Creative Town? Creative Town is a co-creation centre, concept store and design studio all in one place- an initiative from International Creative Women and More Dimensions.

Where is it? We are located in the beautiful street of ‘T college, in downtown. ‘T college 22, 5611EH. We are open from Tuesday to Saturday, and sometimes on Sundays when we have special events.

1Concept store Our store is very special; it has a curated selection of products created by women entrepreneurs. You can find unique décor items, customized gifts and 2 products with a story of transformation behind. Coffee & Ideas (and Wine & Ideas). These are our regular meetings for entrepreneurs- our business support sessions.

During these meetings women can join our community, connect with other entrepreneurs, ask questions or get feedback.

Training workshops for entrepreneurs Every month we have different sessions to help women start or grow their businesses. We cover different topics such as regulations, taxes, business plan, marketing, branding, product photography and more. Creative Workshops People can learn different creative skills at Creative Town. These sessions are conducted by different members of our community. Every month there are new workshops. Art Exhibitions We strongly believe in the importance of supporting

female artists and considering that visibility is KEY 9for them. We have decided to transform Creative Town into an art gallery for one weekend every month, so we can offer a place to the new artists in town. Design and Photography Studio Micro and small business owners can transform their businesses into brands that tell their story and communicate effectively with their customers. 10 Crafting Tuesdays Every Tuesday DIY lovers, crafters and makers get together to create beautiful and diverse projects. People learn new skills and how to use new materials. Food Stories This project is dedicated to the wonderful chefs in our community and is all about the narrative powers of food. The chef shares the story behind the dishes, talks about their country, her family memories and the origin of the ingredients. This is an experience that links flavours with emotions and memories. Yoga Lessons We have sessions of Yin Yoga every Wednesday in the evening and Hatha Yoga on Saturday Morning. Sessions are conducted by Justina Kseneviciute and Dori Olti. Dutch Design Week location 2021 Creative Town is one of the locations of #DDW21, this is the best birthday celebration for us! Our exhibition is Meet the makers: women creating new beginnings. It includes the work of 10 creative women from Brazil, Colombia, India, Poland, Peru, Spain, South Africa and Turkey.
