Nielsen Chemicals is a manufacturer of specialist cleaning products for the Automotive Industry; our brand portfolio encompasses a complete range of cleaning, valeting and maintenance products. Nielsen products are sold in the UK through our growing network of franchisees, and worldwide through a trusted base of distributors. We are committed to ensuring product quality and high levels of customer service for each and every one of our customers. Based on a 16 acre manufacturing site, complete with International Training Academy, we develop and design market leading products inline with current legislation, to ensure that they meet the demands of the different business environments in which our customers operate. We continually develop our product range to not only improve performance, but also, to increase cost-in-use effectiveness for our diverse customer base. Our product developments are made in conjunction with customers, to ensure that the required performance is delivered on time and at the right price.

The Courses
At our site in Moira, August 2012 marked the opening of the Nielsen Training Academy, offering a complete purpose built facility for both product training and testing new products which are currently in development. The Training Academy offers all the equipment needed for cleaning, valeting, detailing and paint rectification, including:
Nielsen have devised a series of training courses, designed to provide new and experienced valeters, with the skills to work on vehicles to a professional standard.
• Low and high pressure water cleaning facilities • A complete range of automatic dilution equipment • Wet and dry extraction machines • Machine, and manual polishing equipment • High and low level lighting specifically designed for technical detailing
The courses provide an overview of how to valet, clean and conduct paint work restoration, to the highest possible standards and professionalism. The courses involve hands on training in product and equipment selection, usage techniques, application methods, dilutions and surface compatibility. The courses are conducted at the Nielsen Training Academy, Derbyshire, with the full range of products, equipment, PPE and expertise provided. Upon completion, participants will receive certification to confirm and substantiate the individuals level of expertise. The Franchisees Vincent Szafranek: “I’ve been working as part of the Nielsen franchise since 2008. Beginning my career as a salesperson working for my then boss who owned a Nielsen franchise. After a year of getting to know the products, the market and the Nielsen team, I realised how much I enjoyed working with the brand, and the potential that the business had to grow - so I bought into the franchise and became my own boss!” I work alongside my wife who is now my business partner, and it provides the flexibility we need to earn a living and raise a young family. In the last three years, we have increased our fleet size to four Nielsen branded vehicles, and have grown our staff to include an additional four people - and we are currently looking for another salesperson to join our team.”
Stephen Begg: Former assault engineer in the Royal Marines, Stephen Begg, is the latest franchisee to join Nielsen Chemicals. Upon leaving the Royal Navy, Stephen wanted to remain in a job with a ‘hands on’ role which would utilise the training he had received in the British Armed Forces. “After leaving, I spent 34 years in employment, including working for a leading brand in the automotive industry; but I always wanted to be my own boss and reap the rewards for my own hard work.
