ANGLO Treefriendly Why is this program electronic?

At the Anglo we are really committed with the environment, programmes such as Anglo Treefriendly and GoGreen are some examples of our interest in this area.. This is why we thought we should join and support all those initiatives by publishing our programme for the MYP Personal Project Exhibition on a digital form. We know that sometimes it is nice to have visual clues and a printed reference. So if you feel this is the case and you would prefer a printed copy of this material, please go ahead. All you need to do is click on the download icon. We just wanted to take this opportunity and make everyone a little bit more aware of the importance of using our resources properly. We really hope you enjoy our Exhibition!

The MYP Personal Project

The personal project is a s i g n i fi c a n t b o d y o f w o r k undertaken by all MYP students over an extended period of time in the fifth year of the programme. It is an important aspect of the MYP and is the product of the student’s own initiative and creativity, reflecting a personal appreciation of the areas of interaction and the application of approaches to learning skills. The personal

project should be seen as the culminating activity through which students present, in a truly personal way, their understanding of realworld themes, concepts and issues using the areas of interaction. Students’ experience of approaches to learning should prepare them gradually for working independently and developing a project over an extended period of time. Students have an opportunity to

choose a project that allows them to explore a topic of interest to them, and to present it in a way that reflects their learning style. Schools should offer students flexibility and support to facilitate personal expression. Examples of such flexibility include the use of a student’s mother tongue, and access to technology. A message to all our 9th grade students...
