An U.G. Architecture Thesis which involves adaptive reuse of unused Shipping Containers in Kolkata, a nod to Kolkata's longtime status of a prominent port city in India. The project involves making Co-working & Co-lodging facilities for Artists in Kolkata, which is famously called the cultural capital of India.
Practically using a waste material(unused shipping containers) to make G+5 buildings and working on all the limitations & challenges of insulation, structural strength, space manipulation was the main motive of the thesis.
The final design is everything what a modern design should be, i.e. cost effective, sustainable, transportable, modular & of course, functional.
