01 Inclusive Housing 2021 Group Project Sketchup | Autocad | Photoshop | Vray | Thermocol Modelling In the bunglow area of Lutiyen’s Delhi, this design problem seeks to redevelop the low denisty area to suit the growing population of Delhi. A housing site of 100 acre was taken and devided into 4 regions to provide a housing solution for members of Parliment, different Govt. offices and staff from A,B, C and D catagories. The challenge was to create an inclusive space that caters to people from different social, economical and cutlural backgrounds and segregate spaces keeping these factors in mind.
SITE: Lutyen’s Delhi, South of Central Vista 6
The guiding factor for design was the shared spaces and there nature with respect to the stakeholders, setting a heirarchy for different group and finding a balance in there interaction. Another guide for the design was the retaining of maximum number of trees and moulding the design according to them. The diagonal road has been pedestrianised and the new roads shown in dotted.

The site is located directly below the central vista complex, which for this project has been assumed to be completed whereas the bunglows on the south side have been retained. The site selection was the outcome of extensive surveys and based on a sensitive response to the multiple historic layers of preceding settlements and capitals of India. The unique design qualities of Delhi are exhibited in the skillfull adoption of the dominant concepts of city planning of the early twentieth century aligned with the historic remains of Delhi between the Yamuna river and the Aravallli ridge. The challenge was to imagine a settlement amidst the center of the chaos that is Delhi.

02 CIVIC CENTER 2020 Individual Project
The design problem was to create a civic center for the residants of a neighborhood. A civic center is a place which caters to the daily needs of the neighborhood by facilitating both commercial and recreational activities within the communities. The mixed use nature of this place creates a challenge to get the balance of inter-relation between the different functions. The proposal aims to cater all the stakeholders with a harmony achieved from distincting said functions without the use of physical boundaries.

Case study: Basant Lok Market Movement Patterns
Through a series of case studies of different commercial markets and public spaces, public spaces were charactorised in 2 general termsstatic and dynamic. The main guide of the design was the use of such spaces as a non- physical barrier, creating circulation patterns around the site that are inipendent, yet not at the same time.

03 CRECHE 2020 Individual Project Sketchup | Autocad | Rhino | Photoshop The design problem was to create a creshe for children of age 5-10 yr old, in an hypothetical site. The project lead to a study in detail about the phenomenolgy of children of different age groups, how they react to there environments and different traits portrayed by them. A third place for children to stay at when there parents are preoccupied, can’t take care of them personally needs to be a safe , comfortable and stable space that can also be trusted by the parents easily. This particular age group also holds a lot of peer pressure and social involvement thus it also acts as a status for them, hence the design needs to be more mature than one would think.
SITE: : Goa, 400-500 m away from coast 22
The main idea for the design was to make a stable and safe environment for children of the age of 5-10. A child of that age is challenges his/her boundaries and explore things, whereas its a sensitive age group with a lot of social impact. The linear facade acts as an anchor for the children with a light color play for sensitivity. The main building acts as a barrier betwwen the outer world and the inner environment to create a feeling of escape.
23
A U shaped form was adoped to have an inclosing and safe feeling. The central axis runs through for a stable experience from the entry to the end.
The straight axis was bent to make an interesting experience for a child. The axis is strengthened though the use of contours and form
FORM DEVELOPEMENT
The design must be less prescriptive and more intuitive to encourage play so that guidance from adults is not needed and every step becomes a learning experience

The covid-19 pandemic has brought about many changes, transport being one of them. During the peak of the pandemic that is when the deign was done it was hard to imagine what a post pandemic world would be, will it end with the vaccines or is this the new norm we have to live by. Neverthless it was imperitive to find solutions for the worst case scenario that brings us to the design. An intevention for a bus terminal for a post pandemic world. The design intervention was for a public transport system that would naturally encourage social distancing and hygenic practises as well as propose solutions for the immediate surroundings of the site.

SITE: : Myvatn, Icelandv 36
In the harsh and challenging climate the people of iceland have found a way to humble themselves by mixing into and providing to the community it is only fair for the community to give back to the people. The main idea of the design to create a community space with transparancy in mind, in order to increase involvement and awareness of the concept of circular economy in the society.
With a play with the contours on the site, a symphony of visual integration was achieved that coul’t have been possible with a flat site. With the site being on contours the design was laid out on different levels so as to exploit all it had to offer, A new road circuit is proposed to integrate the design with the rest of the plateau create, an oppertunity of expansion for the community in the future and a more funtional sytem on two levels. 37

SHARED SPACE TYPOLOGY
Playing a vital role in the village, granaries stock household belongings and grains for upto three years. They are constructed solely with wood, on raised platforms. They are built as seperate structures, proximus to houses.
R.C.C. introduced due to restricted wood. Mostly used for hotels and homestays.
Extensions added to the R.C.C structures, mainly for washrooms.
Slate roof replaced with tin roofs, owing to strenght, mimicing the traditional curve of the village.

vault construction Workshop by Abari, Nepal Guidance by master craftsman SALVADOR GOMIS Tile Vault/ Thin tile Vault is a type of low brickwork arch forming ceiling that has a load to support . The construction process includes laying of a first layer of light bricks lengthwise “in space” without centering or formwork, and has a much gentler curve than most other methods of construction. Widely practised in Spain and spread around the world through the works of Catalan Architects such as Gaudi. The workshop was held in Nepal in May 2022, organised by Abari Architects. As the site was of Nepal only we decided to use local materials (Square Terracota Tiles and gypsum) rather than the conventional materials used in spain hence a lot of exploration was done to find the correct balance of mortar and speed for construction with a lot of trials and errors. 1.
