REMBRANDT 2
IN BLACK & WHITE Rembrandt in Black & White features an extensive overview of approximately 80 original etchings by Rembrandt, the famous Dutch painter from the Golden Age, who is generally considered to be the best etcher that has ever lived. The prints depict the wide scope of subjects Rembrandt is known for, including daily life and scenes from the Old as well as the New Testament. The black and white masterpieces were printed in the 17th century by the master himself or in his workshop. Some impressions are extremely rare and have hardly been shown before. Highlights of the collection are an original copperplate, one of the 85 still remaining, and impressions of the Hundred Guilder Print and the Three Trees.
