FERREYROS ART PROJECT, based in Dallas - Texas, is founded and owned by Juliana Ferreyros, an artist born in Cali, Colombia. Juliana started this project three years ago, not long after she moved to the United States. As an artist, Juliana has experienced the struggle to exhibit and promote her work in the United States. Because of her own struggle, she developed a vision for providing equal opportunities for emergent and mid-career artist to establish themselves in the art world by exhibiting their work in important curated exhibitions and international art fairs. During this year’s Art Basel Week, Ferreyros Art Project will feature eight Latin American artists recognized in their countries of origin, in the Art Fair “SPECTRUM” which will be located in the heart of Midtown Miami from the 3-7 December 2014.

Ricardo de la Fuente - Venezuela Solo Show
I have always been a fervent admirer of human beings for been the only specie capable of breaking with evolutionary paradigms, thus forging their own destiny. Unlike other inhabitants of the planet, we are aware of our existence, which since ancient times we have reflected through art, according to our culture, religion and geographical location. The purity and ingenuity of the early civilizations on the five continents have been my inexhaustible source of inspiration to create a one and global ethnicity that goes back to the origins of mankind, without being influenced by their different historical and evolutionary processes. In my work I have given life to a new and irreverent universal race of beings, combining the most relevant artistic expressions of each culture and mixing them according to my judgment. Far from offending the religious meaning that they may have, I try to unify the most fascinating and aesthetic aspects of each one of them, because in the end we are all Homo sapiens who come from the same family tree. The mystical load in my pieces is imperative for the ancestral symbolism of certain elements embodied on them. As I begin to materialize my paintings and sculptures, they begin to relate to each other as if they were members of a prolific family, but with different facial features because of their genetic diversity. I connect their personalities with

characteristics of animals such as eagles, bulls, jaguars and zebras, because as citizens of the same system, I admire the top view of a bird, the imposing horns of an antelope and the quickness of a feline. Maybe due to the fact that I have lived in a tropical country like Venezuela that has an amazing diversity of fauna and flora, my passion for nature and my hobbies of studying Entomology in the area of butterflies and beetles, Malacology and Mineralogy, are fundamental reasons to explain the interaction of different species that fuse in my work. There is a reliable communication between this new generation and me, through which they inexplicably indicate me how he or she wants to be, and when should I continue or finish the work, never repeating them, because I consider an offense to clone a member of my own tribe. In this unprecedented world of multifaceted inhabitants, I try to reproduce the ideal coexistence of living beings on the planet: a free interaction in which each creature absorbs aspects from the other, they feedback one another and unite as brothers regardless of race, color or beliefs, in an inevitably increasingly globalized world. Art is my passion and a vehicle for growth. It allows me to get in touch with my Self and trust my intuition, among other realizations. Through the practice of my work I discover many analogies that apply to my own life and life in general, and that help me become more conscious. Because my work is intricate and repetitive, one of the most fundamental intentions in my creative process is to focus on the moment. If I anticipate the finished piece as opposed to placing my attention on the immediate task at hand, discomfort sets in and I am not able to finish the piece. By trusting my intuition in art making and allowing for the spontaneous, I learn to do the same in my life. I allow each piece to go in the direction it flows, thus relinquishing the need to control the outcome. The more I apply this principle in my life, the more effortless and easy life becomes. When I draw a line, it connects two or more elements together in the same way we are all interrelated to each other and the All. Empty space is important in my work; it allows the eye of the viewer to rest, it creates balance and promotes a feeling of relaxation. I find parallels between the empty space and a quiet and uncluttered mind. Through my work I discover who I am. That discovery allows me to interpret and relate to the world I live in from a more integral perspective.

She participated in Art Serve Eagles Soar…A Tribute to Liberty with her artistic design on the ‘Liberty Eagle.’ She is constantly entering competitions and exhibiting at the Ceramic League Miami, Broward Art Guild, Broward College Potters Guild, Art Serve, Armonia Galery-Caminos del Inca, Lima- Peru, Galeria Vertice, Lima - Peru. She currently attends Broward College to improve her photography and ceramic skills.
Anabel Rub Peicher - Peru Born and raised in Lima Peru, her passion for Art started at an early age while taking drawing lessons at The Academia Suarez Vertiz in Lima Perú. On December 1974 she relocated to Miami, Florida and graduated with a bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. She is licensed in Interior Design. She lived in Los Angeles, California in 1987-89, where she took classes in acrylic painting.
She is currently exhibiting at Art Viva at the Miramar Cultural Center from September 19 through October 23 2014, Art Serve “Big Exhibit” October 2014 and the Oakland Park Library October 2014. Her artistic passion and creativity comes through designing interiors, furniture, logos and artwork, undertaking a diversity of media such as stone, ceramics and metals, enabling her to produce unique artwork. Images are the language of my thoughts. I am inspired by my surroundings and experiences lived. Color is integral to the story, and my aim is to make the story a personal one, yet one the viewer can enter and share. Sorting thru the images that “make sense”, I weave them into fragments that tell a story. Some are printed on canvas, others or paper and mixed media. Some I leave pristine. of it all is to capture instances in time that form a narrative, one that is interpreted by the observers who add their biases as they reflect on the images. This series explores the doors of Gallipoli, an ancient town on the heel of Italy’s boot. The doors tell the story of civilizations that traveled the Ionian Sea, its locks the perils of its hardy residents, leaving the rest of the story to the imagination. Celia Zusman - Peru Celia Zusman Models in a very singular way by trying to make her sculpted unconventionally. Her academic studies taught sculpture modeling in clay and plaster, likewise, all learning has led her to achieve excellently bronze finishes. Any viewer can clearly see the fascinating process of her sculptures, as well as the artist knows the limits of matter, revealing the original character of the block and a sublime surface of the marvelous bronze. Celia Zusman study art in Italy, where she experienced the wonderful world of light that transforms and reveals, which enhances the subtleties of shapes and contours with a poetic perspective. Chris Delias - Austria “Everything what can become digital will become digital” (said by Benny Landa, the inventor of the Indigo Digital Printing Technology) – and so 3D printing is revolutionizing the way we design and build things, just as digital photos replaced polaroids and photo books replaced the paper album etc. Several Social Media concepts have tried to digitalize our daily lives and the relationships between humans. These concepts fail for the simple reason that all they do is make our lives more public and predictable. But: Social Media is just the symptom! The root cause of this sickness is superficiality. The result of this sickness is what I call „Anti-Real-Relationship“. This superficiality is demonstrated in the artificial connections and relationships on various social media. For me it is terrible to see how real friends, real relations and feelings become less important and more voyeuristic. Of course these social media have revolutionized the way we communicate and have made it easier to stay connected regardless of where we are at any given moment. Everything that makes our lives easier and faster has a chance to be successful, but it leaves a gap between the digital and the real. My art intends to close this gap. My art has to be seen as a counterpart of this „Anti-RealRelation“ in the actual spirit of time. It should depict emotions, humans, faces in a way that you cannot find in our digitalized society. For me the spotlight is on the beauty of humanity, it’s my first priority – emotions caused by love, music, harmony and the erotic. But it is not only the sunny side of the world that will be represented in my art – people do not just love one

My work should not show the reality 1:1 – the colors, proportions and poses I use are reflective of my emotions and feelings during the painting process. It is an interactive process between my soul, the model or person and the canvas – an interactive realism. My art is a projection of the reality to my soul. Diana Bursztyn - Colombia To paint is to learn to see, before I painted, I didn't realize that everything has many different colors; I thought that the sky was blue, but when I looked closer, it has a million shades of blue, a million shades of gray. My present work is of crushed cans with emphasis on the movement, the shadows and the shapes of the cans. They have a message of love through which I hope that people will give a little more love every day and then our world would be a better place. Eva Rimsky - Chile I started painting at a later stage in life as a way of coping with the pain of a second emigration. As time went by, the awareness of discovering this new tool, this new language with which to express deep and personal feelings and experiences has become a true life passion….. My people hold hands, look and touch each other and give each other warmth. They are in motion but they are not alone. I create individuals with no identity but with clear personality. I enjoy paying attention to each single little person of my canvas as they transmit messages and different energies. They represent and utopian ideal world of happiness, friendship, peace love and harmony.

Gilbert Salinas Puerto Rico My central theme is based in investigating the variety of ways to address the organic forms of nature and its constant evolution through art. I am also interested in the aging surfaces of the planet and in the traces that time bares on earth. In my work I use the mysteriousness of the organic forms as reference to explore and experiment with organic patterns which are created, among other things, by manipulating the consistency of the paint as it flows thru different surfaces. I relate the accidental spontaneity of the works, with the spontaneity and unpredictability of our lives. As a continuity of my investigation I also focus on the
conscience, instincts and complexity of the human being. I explore those processes and phenomenon's that go thru our minds in order to understand our reality. And in the middle, always in the middle, it is observed the man wearing the costume of lights, everything in him is shine, everything reflection, everything fine brass sheeting and gold leaf; sequin and glitter. And he is sporting a cape ¡A cape! Completely red, like the color of the blood to be shed –it is hardly ever the bullfighter’s blood- and behind the cape –hidden- arise the sparkles of the long sword, long and sharp,coward and treacherous.

Alone, to one side of the arena, snorting, throwing dirt, is the innocent, in black and white, not in color. The bravest is down there, cowed for the noise, for the movement of hats, for the undulating red cape and the concealed presence of the sword. The animal is still in black and white, albeit at some point the red tint will turn violet in his dark body, for him the party is always forbidden. I want my painting to be a homageof color to that whichis monochrome in the middle of the orgy of pain and blood. Those are my bulls. The same ones of the arena. But in colors. Laura Sion England My Artwork was inspired by how the actual Elephant is hand painted in India ,as is their culture to do so!I feel it shows there true nature!Even though they appear big, over powering ,and their skin has a rough texture ,I feel that their true nature is that of a gentle one !Hence the delicate flowers and Symbols which are painted on their skin .They are beautiful ,majestic creatures .I feel that through my art work I evoke that feeling in them ! My Elephant appears vulnerable and beautiful and at the same time strong and gentle! One does not notice the rough skin anymore; instead it had been transformed into a work of art! I have used Oils to achieve the rich colors and the crystals symbolize how precious these animals are and should not be killed for their tusks!! My elephant is a "Diamond in the rough!"

Luzmila Giraldo - Venezuela I have dedicated many years of my life to professional makeup, and it has allowed me to experience the physical and emotional transformations that people go through when they see a version that they like of themselves in front of the mirror. It is an inspiring experience to see how an object that has reminded us for centuries about our imperfections is firmly confronted by challenging eyes rejoiced with satisfaction. Being an accomplice to create this feeling has been a constant motivation in my life and represents the engine of my work. In my paintings, I enjoy to line and contour the plurality of expressions which the human face is capable to produce, providing a unique identity to the characters that I conceive in a world of brushes, pigments and textures. Shadows and highlights enhance and attenuate their personalities, capturing
the paramount moment when their "perfect" version is revealed. These characters overcome the vanity of the mirror, making it burst into pieces that reflect the discovery of ethereal beauty. fine art Mark Taylor - USA New York City. Everything seems like something you will want to capture and remember forever. Larger than life scenes are everywhere you turn. Some things are iconic “New York”; the colors, the people, the lifestyle, the construction on every block masked by the daily routine of life in New York City, and of course, the taxis. “Man About Town” captures not only the uniqueness of the enormous and suggestive advertisement that, except for a telling doorway to the construction site, would be just another message for the masses, but the pace of the city; the iconic yellow taxi flows by, flanked to the left and right with bright, red movement, while the “New Yorker” steps forth to hail a taxi from the sea to fast moving yellow carriages; scenes that could only mean one thing…. New York City. As the scorching summer sun moves across the sky over 5th Avenue, the shadows of the evening lights for the scantily clad “Man About Town” move in an eye catching pattern across the subject’s shirtless skin. Even HE appears to be sweating in this New York mid-afternoon summer heat. Melanie Prapopoulos - Greece X-Rays: An internal Expression
The series of artworks on X-Rays grew out of my two previous series: Unearthing Beauty and Young, Fabulous and…, both of which explore how society pressures women to be young and beautiful at all stages and the inherent danger in that: the loss of identity. Though these two series are still very much alive and continue to grow – I want to do more with the source of light. My initial interest in working on x-ray film was to be able to create works where I could project the light from behind the work, as opposed to beaming light on the work – I wanted light to come from within the text, and radiate outwards – highlighting what is within and what better medium than x-ray film? I also believed that having light radiating from within would be less exposing and invasive than having a light beam on a work, as though light from inside became more the choice of the work, than of the viewer. From there I became interested in the symmetry of the skeletal form and how color imposed on that organization can enhance the lines, shades and shadows of the x-rayed image thereby presenting a new way of looking – offering alternatives to the understanding of one’s internal identity.

Raquel Rub - Peru Raquel Rub sculptures enclose dedication, study and creative work for the mamy years that the artist has been developing. Her pieces are forms that she finds in stone as she is working with it. This forms are implicit in the stone, and presents us with an exquisite finish and unique beauty. Since the beginning of the creative process of Raquel sculptures, the artist connects with the material, dialogues with those voices emanating from the stone, and the vibrations of the stone accumulated all the way to its detachment from the mountain. It is then when it gets into the hands of Raquel, and a harmonic connection between the art form and its reflection is established. The highlights that draw her sculptures resemble veins, arteries of a body, and are precisely the highlights of the stone, which were generated in the mountains, and Raquel caresses it with her hands, giving them life and enhancing them with infinite beauty. Her work have anthropomorphic forms, in some cases it suggest playful beings who invite us to the discovery and the dialogue of the work. The sculptures of Raquel remind me of the famous quote

Rebeca Bibas - Colombia The recurrent motif of flora throughout my work is not meant to establish a factual connection with the universe but instead supposed to create a sense of emotion that leads to that connection. For me the sight of flowers instantly relaxes me. I feel serene and calm no matter the circumstance. The multitude of colors, smells, and shapes all combine to create a highly spiritualistic ambiance. Specifically the color violet brings about a sense of tranquility and a connection to the cosmos. My life is surrounded by flowers, whether they are there physically or spiritually present the feeling I get is constant. Time slows down for me, but the people around me do not. The pandemonium which the universe has created is ever present in our lives. My quick brush strokes and erratic splatter represents the inescapability of this chaos. When juxtaposed with the serenity of the flower my feelings are presented to the viewers. I am just another person trying to find serenity among all the chaos. Tania Bakalarz - Colombia We are all aware of the seductive power of women. History and literature have taught us that there have been wars and battles over them. Thru my work I amplify the expression of that power by way of describing in each painting different characters and personalities with attributes of being self confident, strong, sexy, sweet, fun, and some even with attitude. They use tools and weapons to enhance their beauty such as makeup, accessories and fashion, and use body language to provoke feelings, and yet subtle enough so the beholders don’t realize and get the notion they are being seduced. There are many contrasts in life that give us balance, like without a negative there isn’t a positive, without light there isn’t shadow, without sadness there isn’t happiness, and I express this balance by using the brightness of color with texture and the flawless smoothness of black and white. Valentina Bilbao - Venezuela Valentina Bilbao is a visual artist she was born in Caracas, Venezuela, but when she was little she moved to Valencia, Venezuela. From a very young age she discovered her love of painting, drawing and poetry, she dedicated herself learning new techniques that allowed her to further develop her artistic skills. She felt the need to convey her knowledge, and created the Drawing and Painting Workshop "Brushstrokes", which had children and youth of different ages. Valentina continued to dabble in art and received more training at the School of Visual Arts while at the same time she studied Psychology. Her artwork captures a full and complete expression of emotions; joy, passion and love with spontaneity, energy and strength through a wide range of colors, textures, shapes and figures making all of her artwork comprehensive and rich in content. In addition her artwork has balance and harmony, which is the result of all the
elements in the right proportions coming alive and maintaining a constant motion. Color is the main character of her work and which all other elements are combined. This technique is the result of admiration and study of Impressionism, among other artistic surrealisms, which shows an extraordinary capacity for synthesis and integration. That is why it is not difficult to understand why her paintings are abstract in beauty. Her work is full of light and harmony and it complements the space. William Stalhuth - Venezuela Stalhuth was born in Caracas on December 30, 1967. Very early in his life he discovered his passion for the plastic arts, particularly painting. He studied Graphic Design in the “Instituto Villasmil de León” in Caracas, where he began to create oil and acrylic paintings and then to commercialized them, many of them crossing borders into other major cities around the world such as Madrid, Buenos Aires and Bogota, among others. In 2004 he arrived to the city of Miami, where his passion for the abstract and contemporary painting began to awaken, due to the presence of this tendency in the surroundings. His work is inspired mostly by the richness of the textures, combining them with modern colors that complement the vanguard architectures typical of a cosmopolitan city like Miami.
