Mona Youssef is a poetic artist, curator and gallerist. Selling her first oil painting at age of 12 was truly a prodigy. Stephanie Holznecht is originally from the southeast coast of England. She immigrated to the United States at the age of nineteen and attended University upon arrival, obtaining a BA in Graphic Design and Fine Art. For 10 years Stephanie worked as a graphic designer and art director, leaving to pursue a career in professional art. Stephanie’s current artistic style has changed dramatically from earlier years, moving from realism to a purely abstract artist. With abstract painting she is inspired to let go and free herself to feel art in a totally different manner, reaching levels of emotional strength that far exceeded her expectations as a painter. Stephanie’s main focus has been in using fluid acrylic paint. A challenging medium, that guarantees a different result with each painting she creates. She has had great success using this medium and her unique layering technique. Stephanie invests in the creation of a piece of art to convey what she feels inside: her thinking, her emotions, her life, her essence and her soul. Helen Kagan, PhD Coming from a family of scientists, Helen’s always been fascinated by the left and right brain relationship. A holistic therapist and artist, she’s been developing her unique technique and style as “Healing Arts” which reflects her own deep introspective view on life, a desire to bridge realities and heal the Past. Helen Kagan, PhD. was born in a cold Siberian winter in what then was the USSR. She grew up in a Communist State where oppression and control were a daily reality. In 1991 her quest for freedom led Helen to the US, whereto she brought her Jewish heritage, a couple of graduate degrees, and an unending thirst to explore the World and its meaning. Mainly self-taught Helen’s been painting for as long as she remembers herself, since 2005 does it professionally. Her canvases are influenced by impressionism and expressionism and, the spiritual messages - being on your Journey, going towards the Light, following your Path, self-reflection, awareness of ‘Here and Now’, and of course ‘j’oie de vivre’! - are always present in her art, where she’s integrating the Fine Art and the Art of Healing. Jim Lively is a Resident Artist and Wine Sommelier at LuminArte Gallery in Dallas, Texas. His works have been recognized in numerous juried competitions and publications. He was named to the 2013, 2014 and 2015 list of Art Tour International Magazine’s Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Art (www.arttourinternational.com). In addition, he has participated in several group and a solo exhibitions across North America and in Europe. Jim has published four books containing images of his art including two novels. Whether portrayed in the abstract, realism or somewhere in between, Jim’s work is most influenced by the attractive, unattractive and sometimes humorous components of contemporary culture. His figurative and surreal works tend to focus upon interesting juxtaposition of images which share the same canvas. Jim likes to challenge the viewer to question how these images relate to one another. On the other hand, his abstract paintings reflect culture through the use of texture, intersecting lines, color shading and often text. The latter part of 2013, he ventured into the single most experimental aspect of his professional career as an artist. This experiment consisted of incorporating actual wine into his paintings. What began as an experiment has morphed into a long term commitment to perfecting the use of wine in art. Art and wine have for years been intertwined in art exhibitions and events around the world. Wine is an essential component to enjoying and experiencing art. Jim thought why not take the final leap and incorporate wine directly into his paintings. In August of 2014, Jim thought it only appropriate that he take steps to enhance his knowledge and understanding about wine in general. Silvana LaCreta Ravena is a Brazilian-born artist who moved to the Twin Cities in 2006. She was educated as a psychologist and also holds degrees in art therapy, art history and a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. Since she established her studio in Minnesota, she has exhibited regularly in galleries and art centers throughout the country. She has gallery representation in four states including Minnesota, and her work has been featured in TV art shows and art publications in the US and Europe. The connections between psychology and art have been the constant subject of Silvana’s paintings. She became fascinated with this topic during her practice as a clinical psychologist – an experience that helped her infuse her art with principles based on different lines of thought in psychology. Since she moved to Minnesota, she has centered her focus exclusively on painting, making it her way of stimulating people’s psychological dynamics. The intention of Silvana’s work is to encourage people to creatively question what they are seeing and to make contact with their innermost being. The Fabulous Personages of Rafat The artist Rafat inhabits a realm of magic that exists apart from the usual concerns of the mainstream art world. Her fantastic realm is filled with figurative enigmas and fanciful personages. Their demeanor is as fully fanciful as the beings dreamt up by Paul Klee, Victor Brauner and other masters of anatomical anomalies. All of Rafats picorial dramas are enacted against a black background that makes her colours glow all the more vividly besides suggesting nocturnal atmospheres that add to the mystery of her compositions. Indeed, it is Rafats unequaled ability to present us with the outlandish projects of her fertile imagination and make them inexplicably believable that makes her work so thoroughly enjoyable.

Bert Koeck @ Art Monaco 2015 Bert Koeck was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1971. He graduated from the Luca School of Arts as a Master Designer in 1996 and then worked for several renouned European offices as an architect (interior-, furniture- [www.bertkoeck.com - traces “Dubrovnik”] and object design). Currently he is a professor/academic “hands on” design studios at the “LUCA SCHOOL OF ARTS. Koeck’s artistic knowledge and fascination for different techniques and experiment as well as a stubborn sense of abstraction, reflects explicitely in these experimental, two dimensional projects. All experimental work takes root in a “think process, not product”-point of view. “Process”, is encouraged by experiments concerning a wide scale of image-capturing techniques. (existing-,

“I am engrossed in those intense images delving into abstraction of the soul. The more involved I become in the work the more intense the images. I grew more interested in the contradictions, extreme expressions and the feelings not shown in a moment that underlies a human context. To achieve that “I have been there” or “I am there” instance. Watercolor, 18” x 24” A depiction of a specialty ice cream shop in Beach Haven, NJ., where the waiters and waitresses dress in broadway costume and sing show tunes, while dishing out delectable ice cream concoctions, and picking on the clientelle. When chosen, the guest may have to stand up and sing, recite, dance or just act like a fool in front of everyone. The ceiling in this shop is high gloss, as such, reflects everything in the entire room.
