GEN ART

For 30 Years, Gen Art has been an integral part of the global fashion, film and visual art circuit, most recently supporting the hottest emerging fashion designers, hair and makeup artists, runway models, photographers and visual artists.

Growing up in New York as a teen model from the tender age of 14 in 1992, Gen Art's CEO Keri Ingvarsson (Vignola) entered the corporate side of fashion in 2005, under the tutelage iconic publisher/ editor duo of Sandy Brant and Ingrid Sischy ( Interview Magazine, Art in America). Keri regards her time at Interview as "a vital, head-on crash course into the world of fashion" before she joined Gen Art in 2006.

In her 17-year tenure, Gen Art has supported the industry in discovering Philip Lim, Rodarte ( Academy Award-winning costume designers for Black Swan), Peter Som, BRSTL Studio, Rebecca Taylor, and many more, through Gen Art's runway-to-consumer platform, Fresh Faces in Fashion. Keri became CEO in 2013, shifting the platform from a non-profit to a "for profit, for purpose" model, offering fashion designers retail and online sales opportunities directly off the runway with strategic revenue partners such Bloomingdales Soho, Macy's 34th Street, ShopSpring and Intermix. In 2015, Keri moved Gen Art's headquarters west from New York City to Los Angeles (DTLA), launching a new revenue stream between the Hollywood Film/ TV industry and Gen Art creators, through media-based merchandise collaborations with Disney, Universal Studios and Amazon.

In 2020, after seeing an opportunity for visual artists, following major growth in fashion at Gen Art, the company named westcoast based contemporary gallerist ( Ethos Contemporary Art) Georgeana Ireland as Artistic Director. That same year, Georgea - na introduced Gen Art to producer, double-platinum recording artist and emerging visual artist, Luciana Caporaso, now Gen Art's Creative Director, allowing the company to explore expansion into film, music and art. Fast-forward three years, and the Gen Art x Ethos partnership has a collaborative roster that includes pop-up art shows during Art Basel: Miami, Frieze Art Fair, Coachella Valley Music Festival, as well as an award-winning art/ music video that premiered at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood (Grauman's).

As Gen Art celebrates its 3 0th Anniversary in 2023, the company has plans to grow digitally, enabling future artists a platform to "connect, collaborate and create" viable, sustainable projects, products and businesses together. The company also has plans to relaunch a "completely revamped/ rethought" film program ( the Gen Art Film Festival heralded NYC and Chicago from 1996-2013 and touts 200 notable film alumni), and a brand-new partnership with visionary investor, event and film producer Naeem Munaf, promises just that.
