They marry years of highly specialized training with state-of-theart testing, to ensure patients obtain a fully personalized experience.
Immediately, one is captivated when speaking to Melissa. The mother of one, has a vibrant personality with a firm stand on how we should protect our bodies from the constant stress and hazards of our modern life rhythms.
“Our collaboration started out of necessity. When Zakary, our son was born, we were faced with the challenges of having a child with ADHD. Standard practices in medicine and behavioral science were ineffective and we were driven to search for alternative methods. Our research led us to very strategic testing as we examined everything from standard bloodwork to DNA, food sensitivity testing, micronutrients and the microbiome. These results allowed us to optimize his gut-brain axis through specific nutrition modifications and supplementation. As a result, his behavior greatly improved, and we were able to avoid him taking the medications that were being recommended by the classic medical model. It all starts with our genetics and what we put into our bodies” explained Melissa.
After applying these protocols to effectively manage her family challenges, Melissa has come to realize how vital proper testing is in determining one’s nutritional needs. “It’s just so important.
Starchild Rooftop
Operational year-round, Starchild Rooftop boasts two outdoor patios and a retractable rooftop that can quickly transform to become a fully open-air space with panoramic views of the New York skyline and Hudson River. Open seven nights a week, Starchild Rooftop is the neighborhood’s newest destination for Happy Hour, corporate events and late-night revelry in a safe and secure envi- ronment. Thursdays through Saturdays, DJs, special guest artists and original programming elevate the energy as guests commune, dance, and party under the stars. Rockwell Group’s design celebrates the energy of the surrounding neighborhood and a trending cocktail list featuring five types of Espresso Martinis, shareable table side drinks and an OnlyFans Martini can be found on the menu.
What is considered healthy for one person is not necessarily healthy for another. For instance, one of my patients, a top Disney executive thought he was being proactive by drinking lemon water and consuming what he thought was a “healthy diet”. However, after testing for food sensitivities we were able to determine that he has a sensitivity to lemon and other typically “healthy foods”. By making very specific changes we were able to alleviate his joint pain and overall inflammation. Doing so also allowed him to lose stubborn body fat and return to weightlifting. This is only one example of many patients we have treated and confirms that unknown sensitives can have unintended consequences to both our physical and mental function.”
Dr. Szerlip adds, “towards the goal of optimizing one’s existence, one of the most important services provided by Serenity Medical Consulting PLLC, is bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for men and women. This type of treatment, especially for those beyond 40 years of age is vital and the results are simply remarkable. There is not a single individual whom we have treated who has not felt a tremendous improvement in sleeping patterns, strength, mental acuity, and the best part of all, increased libido!
Serenity Medical Consulting, PLLC embodies the “marriage” of both experts in their respective fields. Together they are ever evolving with the focus of maximizing the health of their patients while embarking on their own personalized journey to wellness.
“Through years of professional and personal experience, we realize every patient has vastly different needs. That is why we test, we don’t guess. We are fortunate to work with highly specialized laboratories that service patients throughout the country, making the services widely available.”

The plastic surgeon that enhances looks and changes lives, specializes in facial rejuvenation and breast and body contouring. Engaged with the most important issues in plastic surgery today, Dr. Michelle Zweifler regularly attends numerous medical seminars and keeps up with the trends we see in today’s complex beauty enhancement procedures. Here we catch up with the renowned doctor about her life in New York City and what people are doing now to be bold and beautiful.
Why do you love the City of New York so much?
New York has it all, theatre, museums, restaurants, shopping, and plastic surgery!
I like the energy in the city that doesn't sleep. New York City is diverse; people are from all over the world, I also love learning about my patient's culture. I appreciate the change of seasons and looking at Central Park with snow and leaves.
What are the advances you've seen in plastic surgery that have compelled you to adapt or change your own methods?
As a surgeon, I love operating, especially facelifts yet recently I have incorporated nonsurgical skin tightening device Sofwave for chin, neck and eyebrow lifting. Sofwave is now also approved for celluli - te reduction. New generations of breast implants help with the aesthetic results and have enhanced safety profile. Fat grafting is frequently added to facelifts, eyelids, and breasts to give a more youthful smoother result.
What do you recommend to people to stay healthy, look good?
Exercise, drink plenty of water, sunblock. My patients that look the youngest in the 60's and 70's are active and fit. The days of sitting in the sun and over tanned skin may temporarily look and feel good but dyschromia, wrinkles and skin sagging are not glamorous.
So much disinformation on social media regarding procedures- are there any negative effects on overdoing fillers and botox?
Too many fillers may make younger patients look older and less natural. I like to start with the "less is more approach" but that being said, one syringe in general isn't going to help aging in most patients. "Baby botox" doesn't last as long as the usual re - commended dose. All procedures have risks and benefits and you need to go to a specialist that knows facial anatomy and surgical options for the best results.
You go to so many conferences, what are the latest methods that doctors are using?
Trending on social media is lip lifts, deep plane facelift and buccal fat excision. Lip lifts are best in older patients with extra white upper lip skin, not young patients. There are lot of different definitions of "deep plane facelift" including focusing on the midface, lifting below the SMAS, lifting below the platysma with all the goals are natural results and lifting. Buccal fat excision is best for patients with truly excess bulging buccal fat for the best results.
How are people different in their approach to beauty, from New York City, which has seasonal changes, to Florida, which is a state with warm weather all year long?
New Yorkers tend to be more conservative and more natural. In Southern Florida, patients opt for larger breast implants, larger lips, and larger BBL (Brazilian Butt Lifts).
What is the worst enemy for women when it comes to looking healthy and maintaining a youthful look?
Comparing yourself to others and being unrealistic. We need to appreciate ourselves and restore our look to a more natural way, if desired. I do think you could be "too thin"; we need a little fat in our body to soften our features and not look older. For more information go to www.drmichellezweifler.com
